My Carolina Skiff JV17 (Full Boat Review & Walkthrough!)

Interested in the J Series line of Carolina Skiff boats? Well, in this video I review my Carolina Skiff JV17. From bow to stern, I leave no stone unturned!

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
I mainly fish in freshwater lakes and rivers in Florida for crappie, bass, bluegill, catfish, shellcracker, panfish and anything else that will bite (I'm not that picky!).
I fish out of my 2014 Carolina Skiff JV17 with my Dad "TY" who can be seen in a lot of my videos.
I use live bait, artificials, natural baits- you name it. I like all methods, tactics, styles, and species. I just love to fish! 🎣

Do you know what the estimated towing weight is all-inclusive for your setup? I have a 2004 V6 tacoma 2WD and would be having to drive on the interstate to get to the main boat ramps in my area. Also concerned about whether my 2WD with lockup would still be able to pull the boat out of the water. Thank you and great job on the video!

definitely more stable than a jon boat! but those old jon boats are tough and dont have to worry about scratching fiberglass

Greetings from Costa Rica, I use a boat with 40hp, but I would like a Carolina hull, how does the boat behave with 1 meter waves, I would like to use it in a Gulf. I really like your boat.

Thanks! 1 meter waves would be a bit too much in my exact model boat. The gunnels are pretty low on the sides, and its only a semi-Vhull at the bow. Check out the carolina skiff DLX series, they have higher gunnels and would be better in ~1 meter waves.

On this boat what length shaft is needed for the trolling motor?

Hey Steve, I have the 48" shaft, and it works fine, even when I'm at the back of the boat and no one is up front.
