Garrett, nice work, but you need to get this down to half the stuff, half the weight.

Your bag looks heavy, can you run with it, or fight with it on your back? Also you should keep a garbage bag big enough to keep your BOB in incase you have to swim across a waterway, bridges would probably not be safe crossing points.

So I don’t think I could fight with the bag on me unfortunately it is currently at 40 ish pounds. I have not tried a long distance run with that bag but I know I can run short bursts if I need too. I would definitely lighten my load if I knew I was going to be facing trouble. I have two garbage bags in the bag itself. I’ve seen military guys put the trash bag inside of the BOB with all the contents inside the trash bag to keep everything dry I don’t have it like this because hiking in Texas I usually don’t get wet but I will remember this. Thank you for the awesome comment and advice

I agree never put matches with an exposed striker. Other than that seems like a good bag.

I hope those matches don’t rub on those loose strikers and burn 🔥 up bub😊

I’ve kept matches like this in my bag for a few years (new bag) and never had a problem ( I do hike and camp often) so I know the bag gets moved around a lot but thank you for the input . I will make it to where that’s impossible
