She does not need to be a flower girl. She needs to understand that some things are for adults. End of conversation.

The bride chooses her flower girl and she didn't choose your daughter.End of story.
Not only can the children be cranky, it is also a food expense.
Wedding s are very expensive today and totally appreciate that they requested no children at the reception. People fail to realize that this is the bride and groom’s day
For the wedding- no need for a compromise. It’s the bride and groom’s wedding. They make the choices of what they want for THEIR day. Full stop. It’s not the bride and groom’s responsibility to help you parent your child through their wedding. Your child will move on.
Good luck Hoda and Jenna.
We had a no children policy at our wedding. Friends brought their newborn. 🙄 We don’t see them anymore. Respect people’s decisions and boundaries
I'm not american and I gotta say I'm pretty surprised to learn (both by their answers and the comment section) that looks like it's common over there to voice that you don't want kids in your wedding. I never heard of it around where I live, and I think a person would be bad mouthed for that. Parents might not attend. But I side with you guys.
No no no on the flower girl suggestion. That's just a distraction.
My perspective is that adults who are parents of young children do NOT relax and enjoy events. They are distracted and wearing a vacant look…as a couple, I would prefer to have my family and friends completely present.
Agree
Weddings…. Oh please don’t invite me. I can’t afford the added expenses 😂
I don't go to weddings anymore...people are nuts...and 90 per cent dot stay married anyhow.
When today’s parents bring their “wild” kids to any affair it almost all ways turns in to a free for all, with other adults expected to help corral their offsprings. At my nieces sweet 16 my generation X,Y,Z niece ( who can keep up with the terms), let her hooligans run amok. 🤦🏽 WHY?
Why aren’t weddings for families anymore??? Spend less and keep it family friendly! ❤

Kids should never be at weddings. Time for adults so leave the kids home.
