Just a quick little tip - when using the slip D rig with a wafter hook bait, set it up so the rig ring is opposite the hook point not all the way up the shank to the bend. You will find the mechanics will work much better. 👍

When your bobbin is slowly going up and down, it's sometimes worth striking, once I struck when my bobbin was very slowly raising and dropping and 10 mins later I was holding 48lb 8oz mirror. Keep going girl! Your luck will change and it'll make that catch all the more sweeter.

First i would like to wish you happy birthday hope you had a good one . Now on to fishing , I feel you missed a trick their not banding one of those pellets as hook bait .House pellet not guaranteed but may have given you an edge. Going into winter small amounts of feed small baits and lighter tackle the fish are slowing their metabolic rate as the temp drops so they will eat a lot less

Tbf the fish should be on the grub looking everywhere ready to stock up for the winter especially as we have had a mild October, end of November start of December is when you need less bait smaller hooks and finding the fish will become more tricky

Try the PVA bag without putting lead in, I like the separation, you also don't need to use inline then, I know it's not the traditional way but a rig sitting on or close to the lead and leadcore I think is suspect.
