My stomach right now at 22 after never being pregnant looks like yours after pregnancy. Like you said no one you know has a flat stomach, our bodies are so normal.

@nikkidutt2034 I appreciate both you and Jess sharing this so much. I'm currently going through a big weightloss and I (obviously) have thoughts and expectations about how my body and maybe especially stomach should look, when I've reached my ideal weight, and hearing you guys say that no one you know has a flat stomach really helps me readjust my expectations or idk I feel like this knowledge will make me be kinder to myself, when I reach my ideal weight if my stomach isn't as flat as I feel it should be. So thank you so much
I can’t believe makaiah is literally turning one in a couple of days it feels like my little sister growing up 🥹😭🩷🩷🩷

@@JessConte i hate how a lot of women today falsely call themselves 'strong' when they're really just sassy, fierce, bossy, arrogant, selfish. We need to be resilient, confident, yet, as Bible teaches, to stay humble, forgiving, giving, calm, tenderhearted and if married, submissive, respectful, loving to our husband and continue shining the Light of Christ No Matter What, and i think the most important thing about being strong is not to just make it thru the pain, but to do it with grace and make it a good testimony that honors the Lord and to never let hard times harden our heart. God bless u and your family. U all are an inspiration.
I’m currently 5 months pregnant, and I’m so grateful for your videos and advice! I’ve learned so much about motherhood from your videos, and I’m excited to become a mama! Thank you!🥰
Love your approach towards your body perception. I work out regularly but also don't feel super confident all the time. You're right, that's a journey❤️
So so proud of you Jess💛 loved the vlog, hope you have a nice week ✨
I’m so proud of you, Jess🥺♥️ Now I feel myself 10 mos after giving birth. My belly isn’t flat as it used to be, but I’m happy that my son surely grew up in there and he’s next to me now.

yay new vlog! i missed jess mondays 💛
Jess, this is one of my favorite videos you’ve ever done. I am 25 weeks pregnant and each week it’s so difficult to see my body change. Unfortunately, I’m worried about it changing in a vain way or what I’m going to look like after birth BUT I love your transparency and encouragement in reminding us woman that no woman’s stomach is completely flat. I am so proud to be a subscriber of yours! ❤
my baby is 9 months & i totally feel the same you’re describing pp wise. it is a journey and a lot of work but so worth it! you look amazing!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Thank you for being so open about this topics, love your vlogs and content, people need to be more careful when commenting on other people’s bodies (that shouldn’t be done but at least be careful)
My son just turned 2 this month. I had my second baby almost 3 months ago. I’m finally starting to feel like myself again. It’s such a freeing feeling!

I am 9 months pp and I am same as you! Some days I feel great in my body and some days my stomach just bloats out. I find when I work on Pilates/ pelvic floor work it helps my stomach looks much flatter. Thanks for being open about your stomach and body postpartum, it’s my favourite content of yours!
happy birthday, Jess! 🥳
First of all you look amazing after a baby💕 I have a 3 year old son (almost 4) and just now I’m starting to feel like myself. I feel the same way about appreciating my body more after a baby, our bodies are incredible 🙏💪

Jess, you inspire me to be a better girl. Loads of love. God bless you❤
thank you so much for addressing your postpartum body- i’m currently 8 months PP and i hate the way my body looks. i tried so hard for 2 years to get my dream body before falling pregnant, and i have never felt so confident but now, i feel like i look so different and i’m finding it so hard to accept the way my body has changed. don’t get me wrong, i’m so proud of how my body grew my son but it’s definitely a struggle for me- i have always struggled with my body image so maybe that’s contributing to it too? i’m not sure, it’s certainly a journey and not an easy one but i am slowly getting back into my fitness now so fingers crossed, i’ll start to feel a bit better. thank you again for addressing such a sensitive but relatable topic, you will help so many other mama’s out there who are going through the same journey, like me :) ps you look incredible, and you’re the best mama x

I don’t usually comment, but wanted to say, you’re not alone mama. It’s hard to sacrifice your own body- the most intimate space we inhabit in this life- for the sake of a baby (not to mention that not everyone who is pregnant was “trying” to be). Of course there are so many good and wonderful things about all of it, but that doesn’t mean a lot of it isn’t hard. Many many many people struggle with it. I haven’t even had my baby yet and while I don’t struggle at all with the fact that I look pregnant (because I am… pregnant) I’m already struggling with the idea of my postpartum body. Together we can work on our mental health and perception of our bodies (mostly perception 😅) and our physical health. At the end of the day, that’s the best we can do and bodies will just be bodies. 😊 Thanks for sharing.
I wish to see an ascetatic morning routine from you, your edit, how calm you are , it will be perfect
so excited for a new video! the best birthday present! thanks Jess! 🥹💛

Im in my boyfriend's phone watching this cuz i lost my phone. I just wanna say I've always been looking up to you since you were still in an LDR relationship with Gabe. Now im 25 and about to get married hopefully this year, you and Gabe's relationship is what im always going to look up to. Of course im not gonna have the same exact relationship with my boyfriend but just the respect you and Gabe both have with each other and your marriage, that's what im always going to remember. Thank you for being a very good role model in my life Jess. Even my own mum hasn't been a good role model to me and my sister. But im just grateful having you as a good role model to be a god wife, mum and just as a person.

Sooooo fast 😭
You gave birth just 2 months before me, so I love hearing your postpartum/mothering experience. My postpartum body is very similar to yours. An interesting thing I recently learned about breastfeeding: relaxin levels are still elevated until you wean. So, once baby is weaned, it might be easier to build muscle. I figured the relaxin decreased once you gave birth! Overall, I’m more confident in my body and who I am than ever before, just like you said! Even when I was 2 days postpartum wearing a literal diaper, I thought I looked so good! 😂 It feels really liberating. As for feeling yourself again, I am so much closer than I ever thought would be possible in those early days!!
Something so simple, but you actually inspire me to go run errands on my own 😅 sometimes going to a store gives me anxiety, but then I remember you do it and love it so I can too 💛 haha
It is so vastly different with each pregnancy and birth.. I am currently 2.5 months postpartum (with my second) and felt back to normal a week after my son. With my daughter (who will be 3 in September), I never felt back to myself.. I was constantly trying to adapt to new things (going back to work, selling our house, buying a new house, pregnancy with #2) that I never got to feel myself again. It was so weird, it was like having a second baby kicked me back into feeling myself again ❤️❤️❤️
Happy Monday Jess ❤
Always love it when you show your devotional time. It s so motivational to me. 🧡😊

@jess Thank you
I get exactly what you're saying about your belly feeling more elastic now! My postpartum belly is the same way. It's funny I had an innie belly button before and while pregnant it turned into an outie and never went back. Now I look at it as such a funny/sweet little reminder that I got to be my baby's home for 9 months 💛
I struggled with infertility for 6 years and was always mad at my body for “not doing what it’s supposed to do” eventually when I did IVF in March last year I luckily got pregnant with my daughter and felt sooo confident in the way I looked with my growing belly. I was so proud to show off my bump and what that represented but as soon as she was born I had in my head that my stomach would return to normal and when I first saw myself in the mirror at the hospital after giving birth i nearly passed out and had to lay down. I felt disgusting and ashamed of what I looked like and it was sooo hard to comprehend 😩 I’m now 7 months post partum and still not feeling confident but it’s slowly getting easier to adjust to my new normal. I’m beyond grateful for my body being able to carry my baby to term but I do struggle with the after affects of pregnancy. I’m hoping with more time I’ll be able to feel confident again
I’m 4 months postpartum with my second baby and I definitely need to give myself more love for the two humans I created. With my first I finally felt myself again once I stopped breastfeeding at 19 months. I thought maybe with my second I’d get there faster but I think it’ll actually take me longer because my body is not only sustaining a baby but I’m also trying to raise and keep up with a 3 year old. I have the same issue with elasticity of my stomach. Some days I get so bloated I look 6 months pregnant 😅 Thanks for sharing this! These things should be talked about more. I feel like we really only see celebrities postpartum and usually they have personal trainers and chefs and childcare and just the time to exercise and relax (not all cases but a lot) which puts out unrealistic expectations.
I love how honest you are about your postpartum journey. I had my daughters very quickly, in the sense of my first was only 1 year when I got pregnant with my second daughter, and after birth with my second, i noticed now that I have a mom pouch haha, it’s like you said, some days your stomach is flat and then other days you look pregnant. That’s me as well.
This was so nice to hear…I’m also one year postpartum and some days I get caught up in thinking how my body just seems like it will never “go back”…but we grew our babies and gave birth to them, obviously it will never return to being completely like it was before pregnancy. It can just be discouraging when you see these anomaly women who have a 6 pack and a perfect butt and thighs after having a baby but you and I are the normal and we need to show that so others feel good about themselves too! 💕💕
I love hearing your devotional thoughts! I would love more christian content!🤍
This made me more confident in my body. My belly sticks out & I feel the same that it looks like I’m pregnant but it’s normal not many people have a flat stomach
I have 3 girls. My youngest is 17months. This has been the hardest to find time exercise. Between my other girls I did alot of pelvic floor work and learnt a heck of a lot about how we should be breathing through the day and during exercise. And how important our pelvic floor + inner core is for flat stomach, back pain, period pain ect. So much!! Look up the belle method, hannah bower, getmomstrong, and the bloom method. All great follows I love! I knew the most after my second and felt the strongest then and my stomach was the strongest it's ever been - including pre kids. And I 100% agree that being a mum and what our bodies are capable of is amazing. I love my body more now than I did before. Wow that was alot.
You're a great mom!
Notif of the day go to Jess ❤
Hello Jess I love your honest vlogs❤ sending you love from Poland
Im so proud of you and its insane how fast time goes i cant believe that makaiaha is almost 1 wow , im 32 weeks pregnant now and its nice to see such an honest video about your body and how u feel because im curious about it too like how is my body going to look after birth wnd stuff but yeah its all good its a beautiful process growing a baby so its all worth it
My baby is going to be 9 months old tomorrow and while things are still changing, I felt the most normal around 6 months postpartum! Every stage is different and has its own challenges and joys, but once we were able to start solids consistently, I felt more free to leave home and felt like my postpartum anxiety was getting better knowing there were other ways to feed my baby if I was gone (she started refusing bottles at 2.5 months once I stopped used a shield when nursing).
i love your hair color!!
Ok I’m here for the awkward transitions🤣 they make my day ♥️

I love that when you were talking about making your bed, I was making mine 🤗
I’m 29 weeks pregnant and I’m worried about how I’m going to feel about my body after giving birth. I wasn’t confident in my body before giving birth, and I know it’s only going to be that much harder after. Thank you for being so open and honest about how you feel!
Super easy trick to make it easier to split the spaghetti squash put it in the oven for like 10-15 min before splitting it (poke it was a fork all over) and then you can cut it and take the seeds out season it and finish baking it!
So, I watch every video Jess posts and I was hesitant to watch this because I didn’t know if I could guard myself from comparing. But now that I’ve watched it I feel encouraged by Jess. Jess’s courage to be vulnerable in her self-image journey. The majority of woman don’t have flat tummies. Even the woman who have not been pregnant before. She encouraged me by reminding me that my body is made in the image of Christ and my identity belongs to Him. We all have “normal” bodies 🤍
I feel so seen, thank you! Tummies after babies are soo different ♥️. I hope to gain some toning too 😂
Jess might I just say how beautiful you are, (not in any weird kind of way lol) you just have such a beautiful heart, and you inspire me so much

Hey Jess ❤
Random but could you maybe do a video where you show what you make for meals. Since you eat at home mostly I think that could be really helpful!
Hi Jess I’m currently almost 5 months pregnant and it’s been very inspirational rewatching all your pregnant vlogs! May I ask what kind of belly bump oil/product you used during your pregnancy? You have a gorgeous belly bump!
Jess your hair looks so amazing and healthy. What’s your secret ? I have been trying to grow my hair out for forever while maintaining the thickness 💕
love this vlog! what pan do you cook with?? been looking for a non toxic non stick pan!
Hi Jess 🥹❤️ I am a fan hehe 💖
Cutting the spaghetti squash the other way, short ways(like you mentioned), is way easier to cut and the “noodles” come out longer! Makes it so much easier
If you leave the spagetti squash whole, you can poke holes all around the outside with a fork, cook it at 400 Fahrenheit for about an 1 hr, and then it's done and super easy to cut, carve out, etc.
I just turned 26 last month. I’m 31 weeks pregnant with baby #3 and I think I felt my best about a year after I had my second baby. I gained a lot of weight during my first pregnancy and used pregnancy as an excuse to eat what I wanted (plus I had an emergency c-section, which I feel affected the way my tummy looked), so I hated my body postpartum… but I didn’t change too much in the 2ish years between my pregnancies. I had gestational diabetes with both of my pregnancies (it runs in my family), but my second was worse (he was 9lb 1oz as a result) and I had a lot of fluid retention by the end and I got a lot more stretch marks. After my second, I hated my body so decided to focused on my health and lost weight doing so. I was happier and healthier and I’ve tried to stick to mostly healthy eating this pregnancy, which has prevented me from having diabetes this time! I’m hoping I don’t need to have another emergency c-section this time so I can see how my body shrinks back down naturally, since the last 2 have made my stomach look puffed out, but kinda flat on the front and super squishy 😊
10 months postpartum after baby number 2. I feel pretty comfortable in my skin even though my stomach is jiggly! Its okay for your body to look different after carrying, birthing and feeding a baby in my opinion. And for some people like me, time is very limited to workout. Most important thing is to try and be kind to your body and yourself
My son just turned a year old and I’m getting there. I think once I’m completely done with bf/pumping, I’ll feel more myself… that was the case with my first!
Gabe: “I’ve dialed it in. It’s like that and scrambled eggs.” 😂
never clicked on something SO QUICK❤
I feel like whenever Jess cooks on the vlog she makes that exact thing for dinner lol
I had my daughter 13 years ago and it hasn’t gone back to my pre body I had her at 18 had stretch marks all up my stomach still do they just aren’t as noticeable now our bodies change because they have to our hips get wider I’m going to start losing weight and try to go atleast lose a lot of the baby weight yes there is extra skin she was my first and last baby.
Spaghetti squash tip: Roast the seeds with salt!!! My mom did it and when I tried them, I kid you not, they kind of taste like movie theater popcorn. It is wild! But they taste so good! 😉

NO WAY! 🤯🤯 I want to try that!!
I felt myself 1 year postpartum as well, I felt like my body looked like it did pre-pregnancy, except for some days when I would eat really bloating foods, I completely relate to the looking pregnant with the bloat. My daughter will be two next month and I’m 11 weeks with baby number 2, I’m curious to see how things go this time around PP.
