Here are some tips: For you decking use 1/4 inch plywood. Coat in marine varnish, do not paint. Use sea decking, it’s foam not carpet. For the decking frame, get rid of the wood frame and use aircraft aluminum “L” brackets. Attach them together with rivets. Get rid of the SLA batteries and go with Lithium. Something like Dakota lithiums. They have a 10 yr warranty “they better cus they are expensive”. That will greatly reduce your weight issues.

These seem like great suggestions. I would definitely like to make most of those changes in the next year or two. Lithium I might need to save up a little longer lol. Thank you very much for sharing these tips!
Couldn't finish the video... too painful. God luck. You'll need it!

Haha I appreciate your honesty. I don't blame you, it's a long rollercoaster of a story. After buying a new motor last year, I actually didn't get to use my boat at all in 2023 due to a leg injury. So I was able to keep the poor boat dry for a whole year lol. Hopefully I have learned all from all of my mistakes. Thank you for watching!
Your positive attitude towards the whole situation is very inspiring, best wishes from your newest subscriber from Florida
Wow.... So unlucky bro 😞.... thumbs up for your positive attitude despite this situation... i would of gone mad!! LOL.... The good side is you got so many bad things in a short period of time that you should be good for a while (hopefully).......Keep up the good work and can't wait to see more videos.
Awesome positivity on your part man. Just a quick question if you knew high winds were coming in that day why did you leave it in the water instead of up safe in your yard? Thank you
I'm in York region. Just getting back into fishing after a 30 year lay off. Got myself a bass raider 8 I'm modding. Been looking at a Marlon 12 footer.

Nice, I grew up in the Niagara region and then moved up North to the Ottawa Valley area last year. That sounds like a fun project! Congrats on getting back into fishing, I hope you have a blast. I love my Marlon, I’m super happy with it. The only issue I’ve had (other than sinking it lol) was the front bench support was pretty weak. So if you get a Marlon, and plan on standing on the front bench or adding a deck, you should definitely reinforce the support around the front bench.

@@jimmywallhanger8402 that’s a nice area. There’s hundreds of small lakes around, I’m having so much fun exploring in the Marlon.
Pain in the bass.
Lk1...hello brother...i like
You need to stay as far away from a boat as possible. 7.5hp is way too much for you.
man you talk to much sell the boat and buy a fishtank
