Similar to what happened to my clutch and release bearing. As I mentioned before make sure to strengthen the SMG wire harness while it’s off the car, look at your IG, sent photos there.

Completely unrelated to the premise of this video but would love to see you retrofit some ambient lighting to the doors and dash. My F10 didn't come with that option fitted and cannot figure out a sensible way to do it. Would be amazing! Keep up the good work!! Love from Newcastle Bro!

Have e63 bi turbo...has stage 1... On one occasion ( due to repeated washing- car hadny moved 3 months but washed it repeatedly) car wpuldnt move... Brakes were all jammed.... Had to teally put accelerator down to force it to move... Subsequently this looks as though caused subsequent damage of my gearbox drive train.... Thankfully managed to pick up 15,000 replacement gearbox for £800 and had it fitted by merc specialist... All good BUT warned that too much torque beig pushed through the box.... Am now looking at TCU tune with MSL to raise torque thresholds, quicker changes etc... Just to be safe as dont want same tjing ro happen again

That mk2 golf rallye is epic. I own a oak green GT special. Would never sell it.

Make sure ya get a new throw out bearing and guide tube. Doing the slave master cylinder is a no brainer aswell since it has to be done from inside the trans, and since its out? Might aswell. I would change the pilot bearing and rear main seal while you are there Aswell, cheap insurance since your there.

Had a similar situation with my E46 M3 pre covid I couldn’t be bothered with it and parked it up, sold it for pennies and as luck would have it look at the prices now 😳😳 lol

The white paint line should go opposite to the dot mark on the flywheel (balancing marks) . Did you do this when fitting the new one??

You should've upshifted into 2nd when you done the burnout, holding onto first for that long put pressure onto the gearbox i reckon.

Ordinarily I would, but gearbox denied the upshift in that instance

Soon as I seen that clutch I knew it was wrong. Looks like a vw diesel clutch. I'd commented on the last video the part number you needed.

This is why these KZread car guys are so amusing. They beat the shit out of their cars and naturally at some point, they blow up. For us it's entertaining and cringe inducing at the same time.

I had one of these in 2008. Car was only 2 years old. 20k miles on clock and clutch went. Destroyed fly wheel too. Best bet is don't do any launches not worth the hassle.

The clutch would last long time if you don’t abuse it. For example, I had a clutch that last me over 120,000 miles except I changed it as a preventative maintenance

In terms of conversions its tricky to recommend mate, I know a few people who can do them, but whether they take the project on is a tough one

@@TRHamza yeah was mine for 7 years, was a great car, loved it, had many great trips in it, it came from Northern Germany right near the Danish Border Schleswig Holstein region Glad to see it’s still looking good, (shame the lad who bought it off me painted the grille black 🤣) it was really really original and OE Cleanest by far of the 2 i have owned, and factory electric Rallye Recaros 😎 I will ping you over some old photos so he has a bit of its past to keep with it 👍🏻
