The 'black spots' was also a clever reference (comparing poor signal areas to the blemishes on the orange fruit).

Sadly Ronnie Barker passed away in 2005 and Ronnie Corbett Died in 2016. RIP The Two Ronnies😢

@@Kerppu68 Barker died from heart failure and Corbett died from ALS/MND, neither are "good" ways to go. Also something can be inevitable and sad at the same time you psycho.

A homage to the Two Ronnies Four Candles sketch, complete with Ronnie Barker's classic wordplay. Sadly, Barker had passed away by the time this was made, but we still had Ronnie Corbett for a few more years.

This was from a one-off sketch show called 'The One Ronnie..' that originally aired on Christmas Day 2010, to celebrate Ronnie Corbett's 80th birthday, featuring Ronnie in sketches with Harry Enfield, Lionel Blair, Rob Brydon, James Corden, Jon Culshaw, Jocelyn Jee Esien, Miranda Hart, Robert Lindsay, Matt Lucas, Catherine Tate, David Walliams, and Richard Wilson. A full series of 3 episodes was then made in 2011 and broadcast in Jan 2012.

Every year the BBC airs a charity event called comic relief this skit was a homage to the four candles sketch Ronnie Barker had totally retired or sadly passed away but Ronnie Corbett obviously was still about

I’m Aussie. And who has the best comedy? The Brits 😊 It’s brilliant, we grew up watching it for decades.

@@ianjardine7324 Oh I love some Aussie comedy. Barry was brilliant, but my memories of growing up was I watched at more British than Aus comedy. I met Barry Humphries once, in the 1970s I the city in Melbourne . He was in a music shop, in a bed, in his jarmies in the front window lol. I asked if I could take a pic of him, he said yes , we had a small chat. What he was advertising I can’t remember, must look as I still have the photo.

The original 2 Ronnies did indeed break up because Ronnie Barker inconsiderately died.

Well Ronnie Barker actually retired first before he died

This was shown on Christmas Day about 10 or 12 years ago, and is already a classic sketch in Britain. Brilliant 🙂

Harry Enfield teamed up with Ronnie Corbett for this , I think it was for charity , after Ronnie Barkers sad passing . He did a great job and it's often mistaken for the Two Ronnies as it's very much a sketch that would have fitted into the show .

This is a 'sequel' to the Two Ronnies skit named Four Candles By the time of this skit (blackberry), Ronnie Barker had died. Orange was a UK phone service provider at this time.

Did you get the Orange bit? Orange was a mobile phone network in the UK at the time, hence the "black spots" reference.

So sad the 2 Ronnie's have passed. They were the comic's comics.

It just goes to show the amount of phone lingo that we have unconsciously learned in the last 20 years and that’s not even mentioning computer innuendos like Floppy Disks.

You guys should totally check out Harry Enfields Pharmacist compilation. It's one of those "oh that shouldn't be funny but damnit i'm laughing" things lol. I think you'd like it though

Hi nice reaction thank you. As others have said, sadly Ronnie Barker (from the Two Ronnies) has passed away. Harry Enfield has been in some very funny shows too, Harry and Pual, etc, which are alos very funny.

They didnt split up, Ronnie Barker died and this was from the one Ronnie.

The Two Ronnies didn't split, Ronnie B died.

I just have always liked wearing a hat. It’s become a tradition on my videos as well. I have tons of them. We don’t have any silly rule about not wearing them indoors in the United States. That never comes up as an issue here.

FYI, The Two Ronnies were not a double act, as such. They were two separate entities and did not break up. As others have said, Ronnie Barker died in 2005, a sad loss to British comedy.
