My birthday and Christmas all at once! Felix Navidad via ferrats
Bucket list climb embraced and completed. Terrified is an understatement when deciding to actually take the leap amd get this done. Definitely nit for the faint hearted but sure did make my heart glow when we finished.
This is a K6 (F grade) which is the hardest Via Ferrata grade you can do. Claimed to be the hardest in Spain

Ah it really was something. Think my son was a little less enthused than me though 😝

Thank you so much. Lovely to hear from you 😊
Fantastic! What an achievement. I recently turned 50 and adopted the same mindset, however as someone who doesn’t like heights I struggle to even watch someone else take on such a scary climb. Total respect. Well done both of you💪

Hi Andy, thank you so much and great to hear from people with a similar approach to life. Lol this climb is certainly not for anyone who hasn't overcome their height phobia, I love the mountains and it scared me 😂 So what challenge are you embarking on to push your limits?

@@kadadventures My challenges are no where near as impressive as yours, but like you I’m ignoring the age thing and doing the kind of stuff I did when I was just a lad. Only now, I’m doing it with my 15 yr old son who’s developed a very healthy interest in all things outdoor. We’re doing Sca Fell Pike in a few weeks time and planning the Fan Dance in the Brecons when we can. I’d love to be able to do Crib Goch but sadly my fear of heights would mean I’d probably never come back down - if I even managed to get up there in the first place!
Great job. I'm 56 and very new to climbing, so this is more than inspiring. Also, I'm a type 1 diabetic on the Omnipod. Do you find wearing it in your arm that it gets in the way. I've been wearing mine on the small of my back, and occasionally, it gets caught up in my harness.

Hi, lol in honesty the combination of sweating and hot weather means I could stick it on my forehead and it would still come off. I'm super clumsy so top of my arm seems to be the place I bump the least

@kadadventures I'll give it a try on my arm next time I change to a new pod. I climbed yesterday and it fell off somewhere on the crag. Somehow, I did not notice until I tried to give myself a bolus.
