I don’t know how i ended up here. But i am glad i did. Congratulations on your first big order! I hope your business keeps growing. A few tips, when deciding the stitch type for a design, you need to take into account its dimensions and also the target garment. For the Burger job either stitch type would have worked as long as they had been digitized properly. A wide satin stitch will requiere a moderate-to-heavy underlay in order to keeps its shape and avoid issues. Yes, there are hundreds of people who offer digitizing services online, but only a few who actually know what they are doing. Are there any embroidery shops in your area? It doesn’t seem like you could fit a four or six head machine in your space. So, for big orders renting a multihead that can run 800spm or higher probably makes more sense than using a single head. Cheers! Ps: how do you like your ricoma machine? What is your top speed?

Great job, Kelly! The idea of getting out to your community more has given me a nudge to do the same. I hope to set up a booth at our local farmer’s market starting in April. Question; what type of stabilizer were you using in this project? How did you clean up the back? Did you also apply Tender Touch after you finished? I’ve found that the clean up takes just as long as hooping, sometimes longer so I’m looking for tips on how to clean up the back of my projects. Thanks!

I used no show poly mesh - no covering on the back since this is adults & generally you wear a t- shirt under your sweatshirt

Hi Kelly the reason why your machines stitching time is different is because the ricoma is a commercial machine and it maintains a constant speed. Your other machine slow down when they get to wider parts of the design.

The Ricoma EM1010 also slows down around curves at wider parts as well. I have one myself and have seen it do this on many of my designs.

Who do you use for digitizing?

This was so helpful!! I am new to your channel and feeding my newborn baby so havent had a chance to watch your other videos yet but just so curious how you managed 90 sweatshirts in 2 days at 20 minutes each! Thats still like 15 hours each day? Right? I just launched my embroidery business and got more orders initially than I could handle. I had to turn some orders away unfortunately! Its a great problem to have, I understand! But... frustrating! Can you help me understand how you were able to accomplish that many shirts? What kind of machine do you use? Also sorry lol im so annoying but excited.... do you have videos you can point me to, or some tips on how to hoop faster? I keep thinking there has got to be a better way every time I do it!

Great job and awesome profit! Love your videos. Just curious if you have a Mighty Hoop Station and, if so, why you didn't use it? I just got my first commercial machine and got the hoop station expecting to be able to use it for just about anything. It's supposed to save time from measuring and centering, right? Maybe it didn't apply well to this job? I'm new and learning.

I thought mighty hoop station will help and make things easier. However I hardly use mine. I’ve been embroidering for 3 years and I still don’t like it. I use the hoops but not the stations. I have all of them. And I wish I wouldn’t have waited my money.

Good question! Yes I have one - but mine did not come with the attachment bracket for larger hoops. I need to purchase that and it would have been perfect!
