its literally one of his worst songs ever. The SLATHERING in autotune and reverb takes away any actual emotion or genuine feelings in the singing to the point where it just sounds commercialised to the core and the lyrics are a cheap attempt of a generic 2012 summer banger. Oh yeah and he isn't that good at singing either, I would say his best songs are no time with Durk, Tides with AJ Tracey and Rich The Kid and maybe Cap with Offset only because Offset carries the track

I’m glad JJ is being hard on himself cause it makes him push harder! I honestly believe his music is typically overrated, but he has a few KILLER songs! I feel like he typically does the best when he has good singers for the chorus! I remember when I saw he was releasing a song with Future, and 21 savage, I was so hype, but I was INSANELY disappointed…songs like Don’t Play, Patience, Really Love are just bangers! He definitely is right about how his production value has skyrocketed with each release! There are so many people who hype him up too much for his music, but he seems aware enough to understand that he still needs to improve to actually survive as an artist outside of his celebrity status…and he pretty much constantly does!

Seeing where you've come is honestly mad, I literally want to deliver the same way and it makes me wanna work hard asf for it

Yeah, I’m worried by his thinking here. All rap songs except Beerus are below reload it. And for me, personally, although his singing has improved it still leaves a lot to be desired. When you have every effect known to man added to your voice to make it sound half decent, it doesn’t mean you’re Freddy Mercury, it means pretty much the opposite. Silly and Madness, especially, are really decent songs and to see him basically disregard them and put Poppin above them is insane to me.

Patience is arguably one of JJ’s best song

I always enjoy these types of videos because it shows his progress as a musical artist as well as being able to have a more critical mind when it comes to music as he is able to step back and view it as both a fan and a musician, so its interesting to see his reactions to songs he was very into at first, but he now views them in a different way, a more professional way I suppose. I'm even surprised by some of his choices because he sometimes is very critical and looks at it mainly from a professional standpoint and not so much from just how the vibe of a song feels, which is another interesting and I guess more psychological viewpoint that can be discussed about him and how he was doing music for fun and because he liked it at first, he still did those songs that he doesn't really enjoy anymore, whereas now, as he said, he can just tell when a song will probably be enjoyed by most people and he wants it to be good overall, from his initial idea for it all through production and the end result, so its a completely different mindset which is interesting. Of course the obvious reason for this is him getting more mature, but there are a lot of other factors and things to discuss about it, but I don't want to make this comment any longer than it already is. So yeah, a very fun and interesting video to watch :)

JJ, Not over yet is one of the most inspirational songs I’ve ever heard in my life. I’m 27 and at the time you dropped that song I was in a really tough spot. It has pushed me to reignite my business and every time things start to look bleak and I start to fall into a depressive state, I put this song on repeat and it pulls me right out putting the burners on my feet.
