I haven't seen the move in years, years and years, the scene where he looks for her just before they get into the wedding car, to say goodbye, is imprinted on my visual cortex like it was yesterday. I can see it now. It's the little things.

Indian film legend Raj Kapoor essayed the role of the sad clown in the film "Mera Naam Joker" who loses twice to his unrequited love interests. He falls in love but stops at voicing his feelings for his love interests. Heartbreaking movie. Do watch the dubbed version for Western audiences.

I have a deep fondness for this movie. My boyfriend died a month earlier and one of his golf buddies took me to see this movie to cheer me up. I was not in the mood for a Rom-Com, but I agreed. It was the first time I had laughed, really laughed in a long time and I remember feeling grateful for those laughs.

I was in a Chicago restaurant when someone came inside & commented that they were shooting a film just outside. It was the scene with the 3 actors in the taxi. I saw Julia Roberts from 30 feet away. I've never seen a more beautiful human. She is completely stunning.

I felt the same way when i saw Liv Tyler in the flesh 20 years ago!!!!

It really is hard to describe how perfect this film is. You get a different appreciation watching as a teenager, 20-something, 30-something... After experiencing life, you watch the film with a different set of eyes and it's just as beautiful. Still, to this day, my all-time favorite film. My favorite line is when Jules is in the bread van yelling at George and says: "Getting what you deserve isn't fair!" It's a moment of self-realization that we've all experienced. :)

Really? I’ve watched this movie as a teen, 20 something, and 30 something and I’ve felt the same the entire time. I hated Jules and thought she was trash and selfish. Still feel that way all these years later. 🤷🏾‍♀️

This movie is a classic because of how it deviates from the traditional rom-com in so many ways. The whole cast gave excellent performances.

Such a great movie. Rupert Everett stole the show on that one.

Yes, he was my favorite character and of course, it helps that I had a crush on him when I was young and saw many of his TV shows/films before this movie. I was crushed to learn that he was also gay in real life.

mmish....yes he did, I always felt Rupert had been over-looked in Hollywood because of his sexual preference, when in reality, he is a PHENOMENAL actor... truly a natural with great comedic timing which is becoming rare nowadays.

In my opinion Robert Everett stole the show!!! The part was MADE for him. Loved him in this role

Some scenes were filmed close by my old workplace so I might have walked by Cameron and a crew member a couple of times. I had no idea who she was at the time but do recall a young, slender blonde woman chatting with another guy from the set, presumably hanging out while waiting to be called to do her scene.

Rupert Everett is just superb! So suave and so cool in this movie. I've been always anticipating every scene he's on. The other actors are great too. Best ensemble ever made. Great casting!❤

I so fell in love with Rupert…was heartbroken when I realized I wouldn’t stand a chance…but then, he could be the best BFF ever!! Loved this movie and will watch again, many times! ❤️‍🔥

Julia should be taken as an example by many hollywood stars who believes that plastic surgery and fillers will make them look better. She is in her 50s, you can see her wrickles, and she’s just as beautiful as she’s always been. She is the amazingly well-aged version of her youger self. Kudos to this legend.

I still can remember the day we went to a cinema in Mexico to see this film and the so much laugh we share with my husband...now he'd passed away and watching this by myself now I still can feel him laughing next to me!! I don't usually like romcoms but Julia is magical and this film is so funny with so much heart!

This movies really makes me cry, I don't usually cry watching a rom com movies. I cried because I can relate to this story.

The last of the truly great romantic comedies. Such a fantastic movie-sweet, funny, heartbreaking, and just fun.

Dermot was also perfect on The Wedding Date

"Time passes you by" Classic line. Classic movie

Cameron as Kimmy was so sweet that you couldn't help hate Julia's character - just a little. Even Julianne eventually falls in love with Kimmy. From the opening act to the close - it was just a joy - a movie you could watch over and over again - and have!

Rupert was my favorite in this movie. He played his character sooooo good!! I love love loved the ending.

One of my favourite movies still to this day ❤

Dermot was so handsome 😍

I couldn’t love this more. Makes me want to go watch it right now :)

I remember sitting in the movie theatre gutted that Julia Roberts hadn't gotten the guy in the end, but I understood that it had to happen. My bestfriend, who I'd gone to see the film with... was worse off. She couldn't move for 5 minutes after the credits had finished she was so upset 🤣

Huge waves of nostalgia😊😊. 90s were so fun. Its soundtrack was something else. Loved Julia to bits 😍😍

When this film came out I was a young woman dreaming about getting married but also interested in career. This film was everything. So gorgeous to watch, so entertaining. Just a feel good perfect film. Love this look back. Adored every member of the cast including the small parts, even the women in the stadium bathroom. The “say a little prayer” sing a long… the best. I’ve watched it at least a dozen times. ❤️

This movie is definitely one of the best romantic comedies ever! So many scenes that were done to perfection I loved seeing Julia in a funny I love Lucy type of role. She did it perfectly, and so did everyone else!

Rupert Everett WON this movie for me, I have since watched all of his other films and read all the books he has written. Brilliant, underrated actor and author. I would LOVE to have him as my best friend. #byGodtherewillbedancing 💝Thank you Mr. Everett.💝

Awww, definitely one of the best romcom films out there.

One of my all time favorite films. It was MY life… even the exiting groom returning to give his final goodbye to me as his BFF. Tears.

I grew up on the estate where they filmed the wedding and as a little kid, I used to pretend getting married on the South lawn with a white towel draped over my head and I also share the same name as the one of the characters. Talk about synchronicity; was a little weird and surreal. Thanks for filming that film on the estate and preserving so many memories.

I remember when I first saw this in theaters it really is one of the best rom-coms of all times.

I absolutely LOVED watching this flick as a pre-teen. I miss movies like this!

This is hands-down me and my sisters' No. 1 favorite romcom. We really, really love the story, soundtrack, cast (Dermot Mulroney was our childhood crush), and the wedding theme. I've rewatched this movie countless of times and everytime I do, it has never failed to evoke new emotions. I remember the first time watching it in high school, I was so against the ending and wanted Jules and Michael to end up together. I even asked my older sisters why didn't they got together. During this time, I started developing feelings for my own best friend. Then I rewatched the movie during college years; I understood why and I felt happy for Michael that he married Kim. At this time, I went to a different university from my best friend and we sort of drifted apart and my go-to song was the movie soundtrack I'll be Okay by Amanda Marshall. Then in my 20s, I felt that I want a straight George as a boyfriend, but then if he's straight then he probably wouldn't be a George. At this time, I discovered that my best friend is in fact gay, so I slowly moved on from my feelings. Now in my 30s, I'm watching this reunion video and feeling excited to rewatch this movie again. I'm still friends with my then best friend. We're not as close as before, but we're both happy. So yeah, I have a life journey with this movie. 🥰 P. S. No. 2 Rom Com for me is Love Actually, and No. 3 The Holiday.

It's my favorite Julia Roberts film and Dermot Mulroney was a big crush of mine. Whenever I see him in his other movies, I remember him in this film.

it's amazing and ingenius. I had no idea till watching this that the producer (picked by Julia Roberts herself) was also the one behind Muriel's Wedding, an iconic Australian comedy.

This is one of my all-time favorite movies.

Julia and Dias, even at that age, just start glowing like young girls when they smile. I can't think of other actresses that wear a smile in such a face changing way.

I have to admit, I love this movie! These actors were perfectly chosen and had amazing chemistry. I don’t buy a lot of movies on DVD, but this one I definitely had to own. My favorite scenes are Julie and Dermot dancing on the boat and the last scene of Julia dancing with Rupert at the wedding. This movie brings back good memories!
