SOOLID VID!!!! Those truttasauras are gorgeous! Gotta be lake run given the light coloring and bright dark spots? Have an excellent lake run of browns, salmon and bows where I live in NH in the states. You ever find yourself here in October/November, give a holler for a tour of the area, cheers!

We get the same problem on the West Branch of the Farmington, CT. I had some just go over some sipping trout that were on # 24-26 Trico's. A lot of the time it's done on purpose. August is the worst month for rafters, it's hot and the water is still cold but not cold enough then after labor day that nonsense pretty much stops.

Two weeks ago I landed quite a few 8-10lb browns just down from where you were on the straight stretch..caught them all on barbless red-beaded hair and coppers (similar to C3 Pole Position). I only fished with one fly as the weed was in full bloom.

2 hours to catch 13 lbs of fish, lot's of work??? I am heading to NZ and fish my ass off. so? that river is hard to access the browns ?cuz of clarity of turbidity? or picky eaters? for sure spook easy... why is it so hard? big Browns eat sub surface most, what is the hatch that you wait for to fish for browns on top? AWESOME VIDEO...Keep them coming... oh yah, take that sweet ride out on the water...cheers... tight lines full nets man.
