When ever i feel down or dont wanna code I always comeback and look into your channel. your short videos and few motivational videos now and then helps a lot. thank you senpai
I feel like this was such a good, real ad for your project planner AI as well. Love the way you actually build something that's helping you push your other goals forward!

🤫 you were not supposed to see this was ultimately a marketing video
I'm glad I got most of these ticked.
올리시는 영상 보면서 많이 배우고 있습니다. 고맙습니다.😀
I always suffer with productivity tools or "stay organised" tools because it looks nice in theory but when I start making a notion page and try to add tasks and what I should do next I start finding myself adding tasks just for the sake of it and the description isnt that accurate because I didnt think of it well at the beginning. Really wish if you can do a video on how to become organised in such stuff especially since I have ton of projects I work on but I always struggle with organising which leads me to forgetting where I was and wasting alot of time revising my stuff and refactoring the whole project to fit the need.

It all comes with experience. Even with corperate projects, they keep track of tech debts or things need to be revisioned from time to time.
Everything you said, plus I also like the Things app (syncs mobile/desktop, etc.) which I learned about from another solopreneur dev. Related to dev/projects, I mostly just use the “recurring todos” feature or little one-off tasks/reminders for a certain day… actual project management with Trello (or plannerai :) )
If you don't wanna set up a dedicated laptop for your side project, you can also use virtual desktops for different projects. I mostly put my PC into sleep mode instead of powering it down and then I can just switch to the desktop with the project I wanna continue working on.
For me it's like going to the gym (aka discipline). Kinda hard to get there but as soon as the workout is done, I feel great. One thing I've noticed though - set the phone on airplane mode and "do not disturb" until the next day and then just dig in. You will be amazed how focus you can be.

Agreed I waste too much time scrolling on social media (although it does give me a lot of marketing ideas
Good, you touched important points which usually no one talks about.
I keep dev diary where I log time spent each day, notes on the process and how much spend on individual task. I put ideas to google keep since you never know when those ideas pop up. I like pomodoro also because once you put it on, you might as well finish that timer.
Great tips man! I personally struggle with distraction the most too, especially when it’s a distraction to start a new project you know you’re not going to finish as well 😂
Agree on that. Even we are capable of doing all at once, this is not efficient. Stick to 1-2 Projects and rush them though. Every small contribution does summ up, ppl underestimate that so hard. Like you said, 30 min a day is 15 hours a month. This is better then doing nothing and still expecting progress - weird right?
Thanks for nice advice
Same , I’ve a lot of fancy ui unfinished projects on my gh that I just deleted , actually I am working on stuff that really matters to me
I think a starter kit is a great idea for someone with your reach and expertise. If you monetize it, you can make a ton of money.

and the better when he's sharing the journey with us, tons of informations in each video, i appreciate that!
Even though this wasn’t a coding video it’s good stuff. I’m a lone wolf so I get the struggle of working alone. It’s not easy and I jump from idea to idea a lot. I can sure set up a starter project in my sleep though. I think I’m just too easily distracted.
I guess it's kinda subjective, but for me it really helps to immediately start working on my project first thing in the morning, if I start checking my phone or login and read through my emails before working, my brain just really wanna continue doing that. So even tho I can have self discipline and stop, my brain is still thinking about other stuff in the background and it becomes a lot harder to stay focused and motivated
I see your title is like the law of attraction 😂 that's what I want from your channel thank you so much 🙏❤️.
How you find a partner to code with? Most people want to do their own thing or compensation
Free tier of asana is good for organising data
Step 4 ist definitely the hardest. Always trying to find people but either people would want to if they would have the skills or people that do have the skills don't want to but having someone else really would help a lot with step 5.

I’m a programmer, I don’t listen to rap. Electronic music all the way.
I am more of a granular developer, I like details and that always takes the majority of time.
I honestly don't get people that say they are going to put the link to someone's KZread in the description and then don't do it. It happens all the time too.

This is something i REALLY struggle with.
I see the boiler plate will use resend. Whats the point of using resend or other emails for dev tools compared to more famous ones like brevo? Brevo gives 300 free emails/day i didn't found a better free tier for now (and its EZ to setup)
@WebDevCody

I like how I can write my emails using react jsx when using resend. Regardless, I don’t think it’s too hard to swap out email providiers
I think i have a crippling fear of failure or hating my final project, cuz i never make good looking projects (ui is not so good) and it kinda demoralising

Having a person to work with is like a double-edged sword. When you see him making a progress, it’s good. But then when he doesn’t make any progress, especially for a long time due to some personal reasons, it’s time to rethink: - should I continue working with him? How long I can wait? How do I keep myself not demotivated by his absent. - should I kick him from the project (even he made a good progress in the past) and find another person? Because we don’t want to do all the remaining stuff and one day after a year he comes back and say that he joined since the begin and let’s share the revenue 😂 Have you faced this situation before and how did you deal with it?

Yeah I feel like collaborations is a very interesting topic where lots of human feelings come out, it's kinda weird. You constantly compare yourself with others' efforts and it has surprising impact on the way you feel.

I use windows. What's wrong with using windows? I always here people saying that they use some type of linux. Also why do you need a separate computer? Is it that the computer gets bogged down in massive file structures? I would like some more detail as to the advantages. Also when you say you use a laptop is that with only one monitor to reduce noise coming from the second monitor?
@WebDevCody
21 күн бұрын
there is nothing wrong with windows. I'm sure in windows you could just create another user account and always have your project running at all times so that when you get time to contribute, all you need to do is log in. a laptop is just my preference because I can carry it around with me all throughout the house - I can even work on my project while cooking in the kitchen
