WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF IMPERIAL PORCELAIN!
It was established by Dmitry Ivanovich Vinogradov in 1744 and was supported by the Russian tsars since Empress Elizabeth. Many still refer to the factory by its well-known former name, the Lomonosov Porcelain Factory.
The Imperial Porcelain Factory ( from 2005 Lomonosov Porcelain Factory returned to their pre-Soviet name, the Imperial Porcelain Manufactory IPM ) is one of the world's foremost manufacturers of fine china. Established by the Russian Imperial family in 1744, the factory is the oldest in Russia (third oldest in Europe) and initially made goods specifically for the imperial court. Imperial Porcelain is found in the collections of the world's most prestigious museums and is in high-demand at Sotheby's and Christie's auctions. Among the most famous products are the"Cobalt net" pattern tea and dinner sets (which feature thin blue lines of cobalt and 22-karat gold), decanters fashioned in the Russian traditional style (often in the shape of figures), porcelain Easter eggs, statuettes, as well as many other stunning designs and patterns. Alongside the more traditional patterns are tea and coffee sets inspired by the Russian avant-garde.
