Yo, don't destroy the loot crates. When you're draining the resources out of them, drain it down to the very last unit and STOP by taking your finger off the key. Wait several days (in game of course), go back to the same loot container and all the loot you previously drained will have respawned. Rinse and repeat the process over and over again.
