I NEED HELP. My partner gave my Zebra Agave too much water and some root rot. The whole thing fell apart, leaves and all. But I cut off as much of the rotting part as I could alto the point where the flesh isn’t sticky anymore, and I’m not sure what to do now. My original plan was to disinfect the little leaves with hydrogen peroxide and then let them dry out for a few days before repotting them in new soli. However I’m not sure if this is the best method to save this plant or even if I can, it’s just that my mom gave it to me a few years ago and I love it to death. I still have some of the leave’s without having cut off the rotten part if that’s a possibility for saving it.

I had bought a peace lily that needed to be reported due to root bound. I repotted it and the plant started turning yellow dropping and so I cut away and looked at roots and it was root rotting. So I cut bad roots let it dry added some neem oil for the roots and let it dry over night and repotted it and now it’s dropping more then ever. I’m starting to hate peace lilies as much as they hate me.

I assume the reason people overwater peace lilies is because they have these big leaves and people think they gobble up a lot of water ... I also had to learn the hard way that unless they tell me they ARE in fact thirsty by allowing their leaves to droop, they do not need to be watered 🤷🏻♀️

I try putting it in the sun, it’s sad. I take it out of the sun, it’s sad. I water, it’s sad. I don’t water as much, it’s sad. I accidentally gave it plant food, leaves went black, won’t do that again haha. My next test is bigger pot but I wouldn’t say it’s filling this current one out as much as I’d thought it would need to before complaining about lack of space. Any tips or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated, maybe we can figure this out together 😅

literally had that yesterday. had to rip them apart and with half of the baby i had to chop off the roots completely bc it was already black inside the stems. Put them in water hoping to get some new roots. Could save the other half tho, shes happily chilling in her pot :)))
If the lily is having a hard time, put it in glass so you can keep an eye on her roots.
I like Oly pots. They are great
We missed you! Me and my peace lily are doing a lil better
Super helpful. Love your videos 😍
Is that the peace lily that you rescued from the store that was practically dead? If so it grew nicely

No, this is a different one. My rescue one is doing great!
I've had a few plants just suddenly decline and then I find that accursed mesh on their roots. It's why I repot straight away now and don't even bother with acclimating them.
My peace lily is all dramatic and tells me when it’s thirsty. Its fine one day and the next day it’s super droopy. And that’s when I’ll water. And she perks right back up.

Omg thanks for the info. I bought it yesterday and it seems so healthy and fresh but today all the leafs are drooping . I felt so sad. I put it near the window. Is it a problem or what cause it? You know that?
Hi Krystal! What should I do if my indoor plants have gotten a lot of fungus flies? Please, it would help me out a lot if I could learn a bit more about it. I learn so much from you btw! ❤
Love ur outfit❤
My mom has this plant. I had to do an emergency rescue mission for it because it looked like hell. It's all healthy now though
thanx for the peroxide formula I just did like half in half or put a bunch of water in it bc I had no idea what I was doing lol
What is MESH? Your baby looks good now!
I kid you not when I say that I just finished repotting my own peace lily that was suffering from root rot. Poor thing, I also had to downsize I’m so sad!
If you are an overwaterer or don’t have enough sun and the substrate dries slowlier, try ceramic pots!
I recently came back from holiday to 15 destroyed plants because the ppl looking after it apparently didn't bother 😅 no apologies either. I managed to save most, including my brugmansia I inherited from my late Stepmom
Just came back from vacation as well… and it’s all bad! Hoyas overwatered, Thai Constellation with severe root rot, LECA plants were taken out of the cache pot of water… 😬 😢
Watching her makes me want to go out and buy a bunch of houseplants.
Lmao that look you gave her
My Anthurium is going through the same ! I went on holiday and BOOM! 😅 What soil did you repot with?
If you don’t mind me asking where do you get those pots? I think I’m having a similar issue with my Freddie Calathea. Every since I repotted the plant into a bigger pot I’ve been having so many issues. Your videos made me realize that the pot I put the plant in may be too big. 😔
I put my peace lily in the sump of my fish tank.... I regret putting her in there... she quadrupled in size 😵💫
When one of my little catmint seedlings started showing symptoms of root rot, I became so scared, but just repotting it into a different pot manage to save the seedling, and now it is my biggest one, 15 cm tall already, And already showing signs of defiance. It's siblings need to catch up
I had bought a peace lily that needed to be reported due to root bound. I repotted it and the plant started turning yellow dropping and so I cut away and looked at roots and it was root rotting. So I cut bad roots let it dry added some neem oil for the roots and let it dry over night and repotted it and now it’s dropping more then ever. I’m starting to hate peace lilies as much as they hate me.
this just happened to me after a weekend away for my anniversary 😩😭 my poor baby monstera just finally got a new baby on it and she’s suddenly showing signs of root rot. i just had to cut almost all her roots off. i just ordered a new pole for it too!!! 😭😭😭
Those god damn peace lilies drive me insane
The peace lily chose violence
I had this issue last week... It definitely hurt! 😭
I'm curious, what do you do with the old potting soil after you re-pot the plant?
What is your advice on adding Eggshell powder to your soil when you repot?
I just got in an 8 in pothos. She smelled sooooo bad, had rotted leaves and I washed her down and squeezed out the pot. It's been 2 days and I'm terrified to touch her 😭😭😭
I don't know if I missed a vid somewhere but any advice on transplanting a pitcher plant?? I'm so scared of hurting my beautiful babys!! (And other insectivorous/carnivorous plants in general)
I assume the reason people overwater peace lilies is because they have these big leaves and people think they gobble up a lot of water ... I also had to learn the hard way that unless they tell me they ARE in fact thirsty by allowing their leaves to droop, they do not need to be watered 🤷🏻♀️
I love you, just amazing ❤
What do u do with all the old soil?
I have bare root peace Lilly living in my fish tanks
My worst fear. Or, second worst fear. My first would be pests 😫
I have a monkey leaf which is the latest plant I’ve added to my collection and wow I’ve never had more trouble with a plant! The leaves are constantly yellowing!
Where do you like to get most of your plants from?
“Porque?” 😆
QUESTION!!!! You're my favorite plant person and my grandma's peace Lily got severally infested with ants some how . I removed all of the soil ,and rinsed the roots off . It was root bound and looked like there was root rot. I broke up all the root balls because she wanted to give more people some . But it's kinda looking sad. Is there anything I can't do for it to make it look more lively again
The leaves on mine are turning black. I should admit I am one of the worst gardeners there has ever been but I am learning. Any advice?
What kind of scoop do you use for your soil?
😍
Question: Should use cinnamon as a antifungal or can you use something else to minimize fungus? Help!?
do you add epsom salt in your houseplant? what sign of magnesium deficiancy in plant?
What do you do with the soil you remove?
Where did u get that tool i only seen those in bluelab ph meters never sold separately tho
