We live in a small two bedroom home (paid for). We had to give up our 75 gallon tank when I got pregnant to make room for the kid. No regrets but we do miss the tank, lol.

@@thelatelatehorrorshow They are absolutely addictive, too. Not just the peace and fun of watching; but the maintenance is actually kind of enjoyable as well. We really got into learning about the different corals, plants, fish, etc. and making it exactly the habitat we wanted. My favorite fish was always the cleaner wrasse.... The kid has been worth the loss of the tank but when he gets out in a couple of years, we are getting another one!

We never left our babies in the same space as the adult fish because all the adults would eat the babies. It didn't matter the species. So... aren't the cichlids eating the babies?

they are not. there is a male and female and this is there second birth @@wcfields1972

I had many breeding ciclid tanks! Great job. Hopefully you have plenty of lava rocks so they can hide..😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Ramaris child , if not mistaken - had them in community tank dong the same song with Angles , Discus , Kuli loaches , and many more . The aquarium , was et up to keep my dada PTSD , from flareing up - it worked well on him , as the tank had to be 'cleaned' , as the filters got clogged , this was done without disturbing the set-up in any way , other than the suction vacuum taking out the muck , which evitalised the whole thing , as ach week , a trip to grandparents was ade to bring them for Sunday dinner , and to collect a few gallons of rainwater No room for an aquarium in present flat , with many restrictions on live foods , which can be collected , which is most , s cannot keep it in its bey possible condition .

there are an estimated 2,000 to 3,000 species of cichlids, one of the most diverse vertebrate families on earth

Love the new tank. Cardinals and neons were always a favorite of mine. Where do you get your plants. Places here stopped selling them. Do you have a local place to get your fish?

You need the right species of cichlids. Mine have been great and get along with all the other fish.
