Hey, great scores! Do you have any advice or tips on preparing for S3? Particularly what did you differently in your last sit for S3 compared to previous sits?
@dailydoseofsunray813

Thank you! When i did s3 before I approached the question as a whole and tried to understand every detail! Now it’s more about skimming through and pointing out which information is important (like gold-digging)! Also reword the questions (for eg. What relationship is this question asking about) so that I can understand it and approach it in an evidence based way! Hope that helped a bit! I’m still practicing these skills as well though

those scores are so good! so proud of you !!!!!, but im so confused ive been hearing that people get into medical schools with scores above 55 and in the low sixties. how come 65 isnt competitive????

Thank you!! They probably had rural entry with those gamsat marks! Unfortunately it’s gotten a whole lot competitive now so 65, and probably marks below 70 is quite borderline marks unless you have a perfect (or a very good) GPA 😭

What did you do to improve your S3 marks (sitting 3 to 4) and what essay structure did you use during your third sitting?

For S3, I stopped approaching the question in a holistic way. So I developed a set of steps that I used for each prompt & questions and did it in a more step-by-step way! If you DM me, I'll explain it further as it's too long to be explained here! My S2 technique can be a bit risky, but I wrote according to Task A (informative/policital/economical) whilst Task B, I sticked to personal experiences and wrote in a more story-telling way. I got a lot of help from the facebook page: GAMSAT Section II Sorted - 90+ (read a lot of the blogs that Michael made)
