When I say that I have been looking forward to this video! I finished work, I cleaned my kitchen, I grabbed a snack, and sat in my living room with this video ON MY TV, all 65 inches of Hobo Cousin and TCMC! (Love your redbubble stickers, too!) So relaxing and inspirational. And now you’re technically a TV star! 🤣

Julie! I use that yearly index section for health and wellness. I track my walks, Total Gym, arm weights, etc. by coloring in a square upon completion. Then I use that bottom square section (below each tracker), for writing in any appointments that I have that month, that go with health and wellness. Example: Nov. 6: chiropractor, Nov. 12: hair appointment. I cannot express how wonderful it is when I need to refer back to my planners, to see when was my last mammogram or whatever! Much easier than flipping through the monthly pages or weekly pages!

After using the Cousin for years, I finally found the best thing for the yearly "tracker" pages in the front... It's my reading tracker and I love having it as a reference

I'm finally trying a Cousin for the first time this year, and I'm trying stickers for the first time too! I couldn't resist Helen's birth flower theme for 2024.

I've always been in an ec coiled planner, but 2024 will be my 1st trial run in the cousin. I was so excited when i saw this video, and it helped me so much to pick additional products for the planner

I just got my A5 Hon and already set it up today! For the year at a glance index, I use it as a tracker, but not for habits but more like "non-controllables" like days when I'm sick, in pain, feeling anxiety, etc. I will keep my habit tracked weekly or maybe underneath my monthly calendar.

I use the index section for birthdays. Love your videos!!

Thanks for showing us your hobonichi cousin setup for 2024! I just received my hobonichi haul and will be using the cousin for my main planner too, for the first time. Your setup helps me alot in giving me ideas on what kind of stickers I wanna put on my planner. :D

I decided to go for the Hobo Cousin Avec for this new year and I just put my tabs and also made sure to get a clear cover, and bought two covers already. Been figuring out what pens I like and also made sure to get a pencil board (I think that is what they are called). Putting on my tabs was so satisfying! I tabbed my monthly at the top, and my weekly and daily on the sides. First time in a Hobo and so excited.

I’m going to be in a Cousin for the first time in 2024!

In the Cousin for everything and l love it! I use the year at a glance section as an index to notes and lists that I've made on daily pages (And I make lots of notes and lists.. something nearly every day.) I use the bottom section as a future log of dates/events for that same month in the following year. Didn't use the top section this year as I chose a 12-box section in the back for monthly highlights, but thinking I might move the highlights to that top section in 2024. Love your setup and how you are using Helen's calendars. Thanks for the tip on tabbing the weekly section!

Hi Julie. Great cover by the way. Being from Canada, I love the Montreal sticker. For the year at a glance section I separated the columns into 3 sections for each month and I tracked the hours of sleep. The number of steps I take each day as well as the distance. Hope that helps.

Yes, I set up my Hobonichi Hon. I used die cut stickers this time around for the inside covers. I love how it turned out. I do want to add some other things but maybe at a later time.

i use the vertical monthly for mini pictures of the books I read that month. I have a HP Sprocket and you can use the sticker function to make tiny pictures. Fits perfect

I always get great ideas from your videos. I bought an out dated cousin from 2022 to try it out and see how I like it. It could possibly be way more than I need in a planner. On the bright side I have a ton of stickers that I can use up on daily pages!!

2024 will be my 3rd year in a cousin. I get the avec because I use a lot of stickers so they get very bulky. I also love the consistency of using a planner year over year

I am trying the Hobo Cousin for the first time in 2024. I went with the Avec as well because I love my monthly, weekly and daily stickers. I felt that the full year would be way too bulky. I am so excited to start planning and stickering it up.

So I am going to use your undecided section for meal planning this year

I got the Midori A5 notebook cover for 1 page per day from Amazon. It is a little wider to allow for planner chunk.

Back to front - genius! I swear I took way too long and had too much stress doing this front to back!

I am using a Hon cousin sized for looking for work and work. I am also going to try memory keeping in an Avec. Or if that fails more common placing, and just cover up the dates.

Perpetual calendar bit I use 2/3-3/4 of the column for important dates (birthdays, etc.) the other part I will be using for color dots to track my mood/stress levels daily. Also at the top or bottom I put major events like vacations, GW and such. Or I will put a small picture in to highlight one big thing that happened that month.

I’m not ready to commit yet, so I have sticky notes all over my 2024 hoco with what I think will go where. 😂😂

The commitment struggle is real!

I have an idea for the monthlies that I do use. Sometimes we don't really use some days in our hobo, so that's good space to make lists and collections like wishlists or books to read and such.... you could use the monthly pages as an index of sorts, to locate this kind of data or memories that you'd like to get back to later. I use the monthlies in my study hobo to record what topic I'm writing about and studying each day.

I got my first A5 hobinichi HON - and then my brother went to japan and purchased an A6 for me so im excited to get it. Scared to get started BUT i want the wonderland222 so badly... The all in one... It has the months which each week of that month, and 370+ notes pages so enough for dailies or more notes. No quotes, etc. very neutral design... I have to try it out.

I have the Hobo Cousin and the A5 Sterling Ink planner. I know I’m using the sterling ink for my catch all/ pretty planner. But not sure about the cousin yet.

Idk if this was mentioned, but the Midori Code cover is made for a thicker book like the Cousin, so there's no adjustment and it'll be fine as it chunks up through the year.

The top 4 bound books I have seen for 2024 are Hobonichi Cousin, Sterling Ink Common Planner, Wonderland 222, and PaperTess Design. I will be in an undated Common Planner for 2024 coming from a Sprouted daily and Erin Condren hourly weekly life planner.

I use my yearly layout for birthdays and celebrations.

I’m doing the cousin avec because my spring start is way too chunky to write in comfortably

I’m trying a Kinbor for 2024-similar to sterling ink paper but it only has monthly and dailies and no wording on the bottom!

I don't ever want to commit with stickers. LOL. I just put them on with a little loop of washi tape (on the back), and the cover keeps them in place. I can use them indefinitely that way!

Monthly’s you can use as notes too . Appt’s, Paydays , birthdays just pen .

A little bit of blower heat on that plastic cover until warm and then put something heavy on it and the cover will be all set.

Without even thinking about it, I let my other hobonichi planner sit on it while I went about my day and now it’s perfect!

I think this is my 5th or 6 in a cousin. I did a stint in techo but was too small. I’ve had weeks too and next year I’ll be doing weeks for edc and cousin for work. I tried going ec a few years for work but didn’t sit well with me.

I don't remove the backs of stickers because I want to be able to reuse them. I use repositionable tape runner on cardstock.

in my opinion yes because it's all in one with the yearly, monthly, weekly an daily pages. hard to find on of that in one planner unless you go rings or discs and the price once you add it all up is much more that a Cousin!

@@cassthompson3386 I curl the washi on itself and use that to stick the sticker on. I leave the sticker backing on. Do you can't see the washi. Does that make sense? The washi just comes right off when you want to reuse the sticker or put it somewhere else 😁

Curious why you don't just take the old clear covers off and reuse them on the new one? I'd prob 'archive' my old journals so they don't need the extra protection of the clear cover anymore. Curious about your thought process there, just seems a bit wasteful with all the plastic, but we all do what works best for us in the end!

Because it helps keep the cover protected over the years :) “wasteful” would be buying something and not having a use for it. The cover has the purpose of protecting my cover over the years.

The new paper is really bad, ı can't use 2024 Hobonichi's, that's why ı found a solution to use ex hobonichis covering with stickers or stamps. I use only weeks and notebook 2023, but ı have cousin 2023 and ı will use this year like 2024.
