As much as it sucks, it's comforting to hear that you were also questioning if you wanted to continue pursuing art. I've felt that way recently and watching your videos have really helped me get back on track.

My goal is to take some art classes from world class artists. I’d like to have a small collection of art books too. If anyone has any suggestions for either, it’d be greatly appreciated!

Yessss, art classes are so fun!! I have a video on some of my favorite art books, if you're interested. 💛 Also, Schoolism has AMAZING art courses! I really love Robert Kondo and Dice Tsusumi's Color and Light Class. 💛

My goal is to paint and draw at least three times per week and learn french ( get to A2). I identify myself with your doubts about being an artist. There's is so much to learn, so little time, and one just can't draw 10h every day so..... Ufffff just a little ech week. Someday it will build, I have faith. Love you videos🎉🎉

I really enjoy watching you paint both bigger and smaller illustrations. I always feel inspired after that 😍 As of goals, this year I just continue what I’ve started last year. So I’m working on Alphabet Superset Challenge - 26 animal illustrations, I’m on N right now. And I want to complete my landscapes sketchbook, as I’m in the middle of it. There will be some art books and art courses and a lot of learning, but I want to choose topics as I go instead of planning it right now. I’ll just do what I can, one step at a time. The most important thing for me is to just keep going. And besides art, I’ve just bought a book on Turkish grammar and I’d like to study from it this year. I don’t need Turkish at all but it brings me so much joy that I learn it as a hobby. And I can get a free cookie in Turkish bakery from time to time 😂

Thank you so much! Your Animal Alphabet challenge sounds AMAZING! What animal have you chosen for N? I love that you're so willing to go with the flow of your creativity! So many artists (myself included) can get very rigid about their art practices instead of simply learning what they find interesting and seeing where it takes them. Also, best of luck with learning Turkish! That's such a fun goal! 💛

@@allisonaletha Thanks! For N I’ve chosen nutria. I paint all of the animals in black and white to get better at values, but I use colourful paper to keep things interesting 😄 I used to be very strict but last year I noticed it didn’t serve me that well, and that I can grow more if I just follow my curiosity more often and set a direction instead of a strict roadmap

I’m interested to see your process of how do you get your paintings ready for print, like a detailed one. Would that be a video you would consider doing?😊 Beautiful painting as always!

Ooo prepping artwork for prints is definitely a fun topic!! I don't know that I'd be able to make a full-length video about it (my process isn't super detailed 😅), but I might be able to make a short video on it!

@@allisonaletha it is very interesting to see different peoples processes. I tried editing a scan of an artwork once and I spent more time on that (and didn’t even finish) than what I did on the actual artwork. So I would be interested to hear if you have any tips and tricks on that, but also your thoughts on paper texture that shows up in the scan. What do you choose to edit out and what do you keep etc etc. I have watched a few videos on the topic but I’m always left with questions 😅

i have no goals for the year really. just draw more, but i try to do that every year (and sometimes fail and hardly draw anything lol)
