To absolutely crush your PR on what has to be one of the toughest courses out there, what an inspiration. Congratulations!
I do like the setup. I follow several KZread runners that ran NY, and you fared the best relative to your goals and abilities. You absolutely crushed it on a super hard course even, so big congrats!!

Great effort and great video! Had a lot of fun tracking you on the website and going "Oh wow, Emily's crushing it! But can she keep it up? Oh yes she can!" 🎉

Awesome job Emily on running a sub 4! You looked prepared going in. Celebrate 🎉🎉🎉
Very well done Emily! You did the work and were able to reap the reward this time. Amazing work!
Luv ya Emily!!
Once again, congrats Emily! thanks for inspiring us
Amazing experience and amazing result!
Congratulations Emily. I ran it in 2017 and it’s by far the toughest marathon I’ve run so I know to come in under 4 and get a PR is a fantastic achievement. Hats off to you 👏👏
thanks for the recap and the video! what an amazing journey, so happy for you, not only the race, but your growth :) setup is great btw
Great job! Congratulations!🎉
Congrats, Emily!
Yyyyyaaaaahs, Queen!
YAY! Congratulations! You did amazing! Love that your wife, dad and friend were able to be there to cheer you on!
Congratulations Emily!!!!!! Loved your video!
Congrats on an amazing race! I can so relate to all of those nerves. Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Congratulations for your new PR.
Fantastic! So happy for you! 👍
Yay, congrats!
boom crushed it!!
I’m so thrilled for you, Emily. I’ve been following you since Chicago & to see your progress has been inspiring. Wow, you accomplished all 3 goals! When I go for a PR, it’s often at the risk of fun, but you figured out the recipe on how to do both. Such sage advice regarding coaching. I agree w you 100%. I had one from a popular online coaching service & it was one of my worst cycles b/c my coach didn’t know me from the other 20 people she was coaching virtually. I showed up to the start burned out & frustrated. Kate’s awesome! Again, so happy for you!

Thank you for sharing your experience. Looking forward to hearing about your bright future in running.
Congratulations on the race! Well done on achieving all your goals. Amazing job gritting out the miles.
Congrats on your PR. We are proud of you!! 🎉🎉🎉
Congratulations, Emily. A new PR and a sub-4HR?!🔥🏅 ......Talk about the chef's kiss!👏
Absolutely awesome! I love that PR feeling 🎉 don’t be tempted to look at your Strava time - the courses are measured but the gps goes way off at these big city marathons. You should be hugely proud of 3:57! Fantastic 🎉
Many congratulations Emily, thank you so much for sharing your whole experience. The medal is bangin! Much props also to Believe in the run ( I watch their videos too) ...and yes the set up looks good 👍🏾
Congratulations and thanks for sharing the adventure
Great video and your answers to the questions I would agree with, I also ran New York but wasn’t as quick as you, I still had an awesome run, and would love to run it again as I sure could run it quicker.
Thanks for the recap of the run. Like the setup and hi ruby where ever you are
Way to crush it!!! Also, looks like probably the most fun marathon experience of all time!!!
Congratulations on your sub 4! That's a great time on any course, and even better on this tough course. Enjoy the recovery and well done. Very cool to follow your training and your race day.
set up is fresh.., cool stuff
Congratulations! You crushed it.
Wow! Congrats on the race, the PR and under 4 hours 🎉
Fantastic result Emily. Many congratulations on the PR/sub4. Keep rocking it!!
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats on the PR. Great Job!!!NYC Marathon is a religious experience!!!
Congratulations!! I love NYC , great sub 4 marathon!!🎉🎉
Congratulations, great PR. My wife and I ran a half near Boston same day and kept a great pace just thinking and sending vibes your way. Love your channel. Best in future to you..
Congratulations!! 🎉
Congratulations
Nice! I just finished the Athens Marathon today with the same experience tbh. The last 3 miles were brutal for me and the final mile all the cramps started to pop up which made me made because of course it'll happen the last mile. Still PR'ed with a time of 4:08:14 from 4:15:00

You got this!!!
Blitzed it, well done 👍🏿
oh, this was such a great recap that I did not see the 25min fly by. I binged a few of your videos today starting from more recent videos ( the rebel v4, sc elite v4 ones) and coming to this one. While listening to you recounting your NYC marathon experience I was thrown back to my PR marathon in Budapest, some years ago. I relived the emotions, the nervousness, the excitement, the pain, the doubt, the surprise of succeeding. Congrats on your PR and on a great experience on this legendary course! This video finally turned me into a subscriber, though I already appreciated your mid-pack female runner's perspective on running shoes. I can finally get a more close to my ability and foot type opinion over everything running related 😊

Congratulations Emily on setting your sub 4 hour marathon. Glad you were able to train within your own plan.
Running my first marathon in Honolulu in a few days, this video is very inspirational.
What an amazing race!!! Happy that you got a PR and a solid race. It's the one of two majors that I really want to run (did Chicago this year).
Congratulation for your PR that is amazing to do a PR in NYC! Keep up the good work. 😉👍
Congratulations! I'm gonna try my luck again next year with NYC lottery. It sounds amazing. And the mile long chute post finish sounds brutal!
Congratulations on sub 4 PR. That is impressive. Glad you had fun along the way as well. 🎉
Congrats on having a great run! Finishing sub 4!! Also, yes I do like your filming setup 📸 🏃🏼♀️💨 🏅 .
Congratulations 🎉
Congratulations - I hope run as fast as you one day!
You earned that medal, well done !!! 👍🏽
Congratulations 🥳
Well done !!

YEEEEAAAAAHHHHH Emmmmmmaaaaaaaalllllllleeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!! I sang that for you.
I ran 2023 NYC marathon and absolutely loved it. It was like a dream! If you PR'd at the NYC marathon that tells me if you ran a downhill marathon or even an extremely flat course with another training block you could easily get another PR.

Congrats on your finish!!
well done!! I ran my 1st marathon (in Athens, Greece) back in 2021. I'm 65 years old, and I'm in training for a half marathon in March and a marathon in November. Bring it on guys!! all the best in your future runs!

Good luck!!
Congrats =)
There is only one Marathon! The authentic one!
Congratulations!! So happy for you. To prep for NYC "hills" go to SF and run the SF marathon which has 1365 feet of elevation gain, then the NYC hills will seem easier!😉 Not minimizing the effort it takes for the NYC marathon. I've run NYC but didn't perceive it as being hilly at all as I live in a hilly area. But if you live where it's flat, try to run some longer runs in a hillier area. I echo your sentiments about PRs - everything has to be aligned that day - waking on the right side of the bed, the moon is in the right phase for you, you ate the right things, etc. When things are meant to be, it happens! Extremely well done - You RAN like HELL-er!!!👏👏🏅🐾🐾
Congrats on your sub 4 PR. I missed breaking 4 at Chicago in 2022 by 39 seconds. Made up for it this year two weeks ago at Indy to join the sub 4 club.
Love the Video.....YES love the set up...but miss the DOG !
First 2 minutes left me very impressed as a new runner
Glad I could give you a small boost during the hard miles. Congrats on going sub 4 and PR'ing! Doing that at NYC is super impressive.

Thanks Drew! Always great to see you!
You inspire me to register for NY which I have been avoiding. My coach already told me last year after running Boston the last 3 yrs that I really should do NY, but I’ve been intimidated by the logistics of NY. Having a bad experience of cramping halfway thru CHI last month didn’t help. But your amazing result and Kofuzi’s videos of NY makes me want to do it after all! And your coach's training style Rey closely resembles my coach's. 🎉 huge congratulations 🎊
Massive congrats Emily! You've worked so hard and I'm so happy for you that you hit all 3 of your goals!!! 💪🏽Think you need to hit London now 😊

Would love to!
Amazing effort! I can’t imagine doing a marathon with all the nutrition requirements, and worrying about having to go to the bathroom. I’ve done two halfs in just under two hours, and didn’t eat a single thing on either of them. Which I know now is not ideal, but it did mean I didn’t even have to think about my stomach once.
Hoping to make it there next year, good job Em !
Great work!!!! This was my first NYC! The energy from the crowd was a vibe of it's own! Such a great day.

Congratulations Emily. You showed us that indeed you ran like hell.
Great recap! It was a pleasure meeting you. If we meet again, I’ll bring the bagels. 😉
I run Central Park every day it’s unforgiving I did the last 10 miles of nyc marathon two weekends ago it’s tough Congrats on your PR Inspired me to get the sc trainee v2 V1 Bothered my hips a bit
Congrats! That course kicked my ass and I finished 30 min slower than expected (clocked at 4:45), but I still absolutely loved it and would do it again in a heartbeat. Would you mind sharing your training plan?
Congratulations sweetheart

Well done! That’s awesome. PR in NY is incredible. Great job. Have a great rest of your weekend. Stay safe.
big congratulations emily! PR for me at NYC! 9 seconds under sub 4! i was hoping for a little faster, but QB got me with cramps again. still happy with the result tho is this a new camera? great video quality! also, the SC elite ankle issue, i used a thicker insole and it fixes that issue for me. give it a try
@RunLikeHeller

Congrats to you!! We did it!! Same camera new set up!
Very inspiring! Can you please share your training plan?
Congratulations!I hope some day you will run a sub 3:30 Marathon 😀
I have that same ankle problem with the SC Elite 3. Love them otherwise and so wanted them to work but that pain and resulting bruising wasn’t worth it. I hope the v4 fixes that problem.
Clock time rules over everything. GPS watches have well documented margins of error when it comes to distance. And, it would be 26.2 only if you take the absolutely shortest route (perfect tangents), which is close to impossible for most ppl. Congrats on breaking 4!!! What is the difference between Chicago 2021 and NY 2023? Easy. 2 years of consistent, disciplined training. It's really something to be proud of more than any specific finish time.

@@RunLikeHeller oops! sorry, didn't catch it was a joke 🤦🏽♂️. And yes! definitely, a ton of work and incredible growth over the last 2 years, I do watch your vids here and there!
What was your first marathon? Chicago? I’m looking for a good first one! Some say Des Moines, some suggested Minneapolis and some say Chicago my hometown. I’d love to hear what you think! So happy for you!
@RunLikeHeller

I did do Chicago! It was nice and flat!
The worst part of any block is the taper, give me peak weeks and long runs all day long. Tapers always make me anxious and a little sick for some reason.
Emily thoughts? Boston in a months time and training on a very short training cycle (8 weeks) do not have it as a goal race should I unbox my NB SC Trainer V2s for the race or stick to my normal marathon race shoe the Endorphin Pro 3 or Adidas Adios Pro 3?
@RunLikeHeller

Well I LOVE the pro 3 so if that’s your go to I honestly think you should stick with that!
