I have every CD you just showed! That's awesome, but they are treasures I collected way back when and would never sale them...but just glad to know what they could go forr these days with the right collector. Killer video man. I need to show my stuff off. Started collecting in 89' and most of my collection is on vinyl and cassette. I probably have over a 1000 cds and a whole bunch of duplicate copies on each format.

Very cool! I don't think I have anything remotely as expensive, except for my Slayer - The Vinyl Conflict-boxset. The Force is excellent, especially Let There Be Death, one of the best opening tracks ever. Regarding Seance, I've been listening to death metal for more than 20 years I just last year or so discovered them, and they are from my hometown of all places haha

Kick ass vid Dennis !! I would like to do one of these but my shit is so mixed up and scattered it'll take me 6 months to find 10 metal cds that would be high value items. I should just do all my Jethro Tull 40th / 50th anniversaries book boxes, those bastards are going for stupid money right now, for example the Minstrel in the Gallery which i bought in 2015 off Amazon for 43.00$ is gong median163$ and I've seen copies sell on ebay for 350$, tempted to sell them but I know I would regret it... keep the good shit coming dude ! HOLY SHIT made this comment before I saw the next to last entry, Possessed is going for that much ??? Daaaaamn, I have that one somewhere wow !!!

I am def surprised how some of it went up so much but I have stuff that went down like $50 too, so I guess it evens out somehow. That Possessed I rarely see, I'm sure it was low pressing before they re released it after CDs became a big thing. You can probably get it for like a $100-$150 in good shape .

Such great records Dennis. I need to take some time and look stuff up as well. I’m happy to see the Primal Scream get a repress, it was definitely overlooked back in the day. I have the original vinyl of it. Great video as always, you always get me to pull out things in my collection after seeing you talk about it after all these years! 🍺

I m from Greece ,in 89 they exist the Molων Lave records,the first 7intches,and e.p.s from this is from Thou art lord,Disharmony,obsecration,Agatus,Acid death,Mortal pain,and same athers .i thing the most excpensive c.ds is from Agatus-Dawn of martyrdom, Zemial-Sleeping under tartarus,Vorphalack-under the sign of dragon, Legion of doom-for those of the blood, Horrified of course,and the first releases from Crush,selefish,mortify,phlebotomized,and athers,you have all the cool stuff,take care man.

Yeah pretty crazy but l can understand why someone would want original pressing of some stuff. I always prefer it myself but I only grab it if it's affordable.

I did one of these type vids a while back. Yeah, it is odd sometimes on what they list prices as. Like you said, lots of factors. But still fun to see sometimes.

Nice list man. A few of those made my top expensive discs as well. And I agree about the reason to get the first press; remasters usually suck, and I hate listening to a CD and then suddenly we get demo and live tracks of poor quality.

Yeah definitely, in some cases. I only like to get the reissues if they haven´t been messed about with-not remixed and/or remastered, and not altered. On other ocasions a great restoration work has been done, when demos sound like shit, for example the Sindrome demos

Yeah , for me I just like the original mixes and the way it was originally released, cover etc.

I own the Rottrevore and Necrophagia - Seasons of the Dead. I always thought that it was supposed to be either Tom Cruise, or Chuck Schuldiner on the Cancer album cover. Incantation - Upon the Throne of Apocalypse was going for 200 dollars prior to the re issue a few years ago

Killer collection 🤘those high end prices most have to be sealed or signed but some used ones are still up there. Check out Idle Ruin new EP (Blackened Thrash) from Oz out now killer stuff. Any CDs that creep over the $50 mark the Russians soon get onto them. I know of a rare Aussie thrash album by Vanadium The damage done, a signed copy sold recently for $1200. I picked up a vinyl reissue of it.

Going to have to check out my God Macabre and Cancer CDs now

Love the tshirt man... had that in the 80s.. never saw it again since and dont like the new artwork they did.

I had that Gutted and no idea what happened to it. One of my favorite death metal releases of all time. I think it was repressed recently.

It's been repressed a few times recently on vinyl and CD. I've heard it sounds good, might grab a vinyl at some point if the price is right.

I just won a copy of Fleshcrawl - Descend into the Absurd on vinyl in an auction. Cost me $82 but it’s the only vinyl pressing ever made. 300 total

I almost paid £50 (British pounds, whatever the rate) for "Melissa" (by Mercyful Fate) a couple of years ago (Amazon prices at the time), but I was hesitant ... which is good, because only a few days later some dude sold me his entire King & Mercyful CD collection at an ever lower price. What can I say? When you're in love you're in love. You pay the price. But my cooler head starts to go la-la-la at about 100 quid. I'm not a details guy, I don't care about this or that edition, I just want the music. Anyway, I like this sort of "I confess to paying that price" videos, haha.

I don't think anyone is going to pay that kind of price for it. It hasn't ever sold so not sure what a accurate price might be. I'm thinking somewhere between 2-3 hundred but I could be over estimating it's value with all the re-issues. What do you think?

Hahaha. I finally, after a couple of years of looking, got a copy of Welcome My last Chapter by Vinterland. On Ebay, from a Russian. Lol, definitely a bootleg, but the booklet looks good, and it cost less than $20, so I'm all good. I would not have spent nearly the price of an original anyway.

Man, sadly I disrespected a lot of my CDs. Truck console Beat the living shit out of them. Sweet possessed and Necrophagia. Actually, fuck me, all of these are awesome.

Wicked titles. Then we have those situations, like I mentioned before, where the CD version is a lot more expensive and valued than the LP (probably due to a more limited run, amongst other factors), like Sacrifice, Demigod or Törr, Possessed to mention a few.

Yep , don't understand it sometimes. I can only assume it's either because the CD was a small pressing or just because it can be played by more people without turntables, who knows.

No I don't feel so bad spending 60 quid for some Cannibal Corpse CDs

$200 for a cd?! Most I’ve paid is $18. Once or twice. Guess I’m not hard core. Or maybe just don’t have the disposable income.

Cd is shit, vinyl is best, so no worthy collecting cds, i did it after all i somehow got enough about cds, so i sold my almost all cds away and now i collecting only vinyls... cds sucks
