The Hennessy distillery is based in Cognac, France. The company was founded in 1765 by Richard Hennessy and is now run by the eighth generation. The officer emigrated from Ireland to Cognac and founded the company "Jas Hennessy & Co" at that time. The cognac of Richard Hennessy quickly gained a high reputation and became known worldwide. For the production the own grown grapes from the region of Cognac are used. After double distillation in copper stills, pure eaux-de-vie is produced, which serves as the basis for the cognacs. This bottling was launched in 2015, on the 250th anniversary of the House of Hennessys, to pay homage to James Hennessy, the eldest son, Richard Hennessys. James Hennessy is a true adventurer and constantly tries to expand his horizons by travelling. To give this blend an additional new touch, a collaboration with the international designer Marc Newson was entered. Tasting notes:Colour: Wonderful amber with bronze accents. Nose: Notes of tobacco, smoke, toasted aromas, hints of toasted almonds, vanilla. Taste: Fresh, apricots, pistachios, blood oranges. Finish: Long lasting, fruity.

I found this tasting very interesting because we just had a conversation about the Hennessy and how it's looked at over in France maybe I'm so used to the basic Hennessy that's in my local liquor store that is Hood famous which I don't care for that much but I probably if I ever get a chance I will try this one out

If you visit St. Croix stop by Cost-U-Less and grab a few bottles. Just mandatory to have one local bottle in your case to fly back with the James. Wish I wasn’t rushing and focused so much on finding White Hennessy…
