    If only bikes looked like this now. They all look like transformers now!! This bike is beautiful this later became the zzr1100 even looks similar and I had one and miss it I’m 53 and loved both. Nice to hear a youngster enjoying the old bike. Well done!! Keep it alive 😊

    Zzr1100 is next on my list. Speed feels so different on these long, heavy but powerful bikes. 80/90 mph feels like 45. 100% agree with you on styling. I appreciate the comment. Ride safe 🤙

    I'm the proud owner of a stock 1988 ZX-10 that I bought new. It's been sitting in the garage for a while, waiting on time to clean the carbs and get it tagged. I really like that you have yours running and did some work on it. Not a lot of guys I know nowadays really know how to turn a wrench. Well Done. I'm a little curious about the air intake scoop you have under the headlight. Is that something that came with it when you bought it or did you put it on?

  • @mirchiboyz

    @mirchiboyz

    Жыл бұрын

    Hey Ryan, Thank you for the kind words. The air scoop is an cosmetic item that the previous owner installed, I believe it is from a 2000 ZX12r. This is a very trick bike and the last guy must have loved it. Custom dog bones to lower it, amongst other things. I picked up a 1989 ZX10 as the next rescue project. I didn't set out to be the ZX1000B guy but I think they are starting to find me now hahaha: kzread.infoWfKPD9U1P7k

    Ok, so i just got my license 13-01-2023 and its just something about these old bikes that scratches my itch. My das rides 2 cbx 1050s and a cb750 and honestly this just hits the spot for me. Soooo i saw one near me for €2750 with around 50k KM on it. Is that a decent price? The body work seems to be in prestine condition and it just had regular maintenance.

  • @mirchiboyz

    @mirchiboyz

    Жыл бұрын

    Congratulations on the license Dub. ZX1000Bs are starting to become rare bikes and the surviving examples can be in amazing condition or completely trash. So it's hard to figure out the value. Parts for these bikes are getting hard to find and original body work is getting expensive. That being said, Kawasaki used similar mechanical parts in many different bikes. Definitely go check it out so you can get a feel for it as many of these are sold in non-running condition. Lastly, people don't want to buy carbureted bikes anymore. If you wait, there might be a price drop or maybe not. Best of luck friend.

    Nice bike mate. I had one back in 90/92. It looks like you got it just in time to save it from being ruined. I notice it has the Ram Air intake from a ZX6R/ZX9R mounted under the headlight. Strange as this bike does not have a ram air system. Must be just for the looks.
