I'm 850-900 right now and I had a 100% accuracy game months ago. Then again it was just a fried liver thing where I sacrificed the knight then moved my queen to f3 check and he retreated his king to f8 so it was basically all book moves but still, it looked nice to have 100% accuracy at the end

I love these videos they are explained so perfectly. I just reached 1000 so I'm familiar with the terms used I just find it hard to put it all into practise and the analysis after the game on your end is just so concise and gets straight to the point. I love levy but he adds too much flair and bombasticness to be entertaining but you just let the chess do the work and I really appreciate that.

5:08 - In this position, after you play Nc3, if black responded cxd5, isn't Nxe4 worse than just taking the d5 pawn? since if you take the e4 knight doesn't black just have Qxe5 in response?

  • @thechessnerd

I explain after but basically if King takes Nf7+ check on the king forces the king to move and then the knight takes the full queen with a more than decisive material advantage for white!

before reaching 1000 elo in rapid, I had 2 100% accuracy games both with the king's pawn damiano defense opening, in the first one the opponent moved his king after the move Qh5+ which was after the knight sacrifice, then after Qxe5+ Kf7, Bc4, black played Kg6 which triggers forced mate. After g5 h4 the opponent played bishop to e7 which fastens mate in bringing it down to mate in 2, hxg5+, Kg7 and Qf7#. in the second game, the moves were the same until g5 h4, the opponent played Kg7 which also fastens mate also to mate in 2 but in reverse, Qf7+, Kh6 and hxg5#, and this game brought me to 1000 elo exactly

My intuition told me to play Qb5 as well!! But I didn't calculate the rest lol... b5 was just nice looking spot for the queen atm, sure, I saw Qe8 but I wouldn't play it because I think it's easily defended, well you win the free b pawn but that's all, but I didn't expect your opponent to play h6, which looked very weird and felt like it was a blunder!! (I know black played h3 because he didn't want to lose the b pawn, and saw the sequence of moves; Qe8+, Qxh8+)... Anyway the opening tactics was nice! 🤧🙈

  • @cringestealer

after Nc3 he still could have played cxd4, because Nxe4 is not the greater threat! Your knight on e5 would be hanging aswell and your Knight on e4 would be pinned as a result. After cxd4 you had to play Qxd5+ and after Be6 Qxe4 dxc3 dxc3 you regained the material but I don't know if I like that position for white!
