as a kid of the 80s, those Panini & Topps sticker albums every year were right up there with the Beckett Price Guide as must haves.

Congrats on the submission man. There’s not a better feeling then getting 10s on cards ya submit yourself. PSA has been rough on return times tho. I’ve had a 45 day order from end of November that still isn’t back yet. Nice job with those hand cut Jordan’s! Also love that refractor shineeeee on those Brees’. Really like those on card auto Dobbs’ too! Love that Flawless design. Collect what you love bro! Congrats again - I have an order on Stage 7/8. God knows what’s going on in the world bc now I don’t expect PSA will send it back any time soon. I’ll prolly have to wait a couple months now. Stay safe bro! Thanks for sharing the results!

The coloring on that bonds is what looked like cost it a ten to me. Looked like the wood was yellowing! Like it got hit with a highlighter or something before you bought it! Haha

Great video as always, that is a heck of an order there and congrats on those grades it looks like you did very well. Seeing any Ken Griffey Jr. in his Mariners uniform just brings me back to my young self chasing the 89 UD with my friends, man we picked up so much UD that year. That Topps Tiffany Bonds was pretty awesome and the Flawless Dobbs cards were really sharp also.

You talked about hand cutting stickers, any advice for hand cutting the bottom of a card box?

That’s tricky, I’ve tried it before with a paper cutter but it didn’t turn out so great. I would suggest practice on similar cardboard first before cutting the acutal box. This way you get the alignment straight. Try using a heavy duty paper cutter, not a cheap one.

Did you submit the 1990 topps tiffany cards? If so, what was your expected turn around time on those. I can't wait to see what grades you got on those. Been collecting some of them myself recently. I am getting a stack together for a bulk submission. I really don't want to wait 6 months though....

Cereal Killer PSA are the gold standard in card grading, people trust their judgement

Yeah I’ve often though the same thing. That’s why I prefer BGS because they have the sub grading so you can see what they’ve graded and why. I don’t mind PSA but personally I favour BGS.

I got my first ever PSA submission return today. This was a single card submission received by PSA on March 9th. I paid $104 for the express service. Got a Gem Mint 10 on a 2019 Panini Prizm Zion Williams 248 Silver Prizm. PSA has a 10 card regular service in the grading process when they shut down. Who knows when I'll see that order come back.

@Michael Snead a week ago it was selling for 4000-5000, this week they're selling on ebay 2800-3200. I'm holding it until basketball comes back this season or maybe even next season.

Love that soundtrack. I dont think you made a whole bunch of money. Its hard just had all these cards to take the grader and I got an 8x magnifying glass and whoa alot of them werent even close to a 10

I'll be honest, this scares me a bit. I'm just now collecting cards after watching your videos (and 2 other people) and I recently bought a few PSA 9 cards on eBay (followed your recommendation not to be scared to buy 9's) but I literally just bought a few raw cards between yesterday and today to try and get graded. I'm shocked that you didn't receive more 10's or anything less than 9's on your normal sized cards based off your experience.

RedbirdsJunkie This was more of a experimental run with PSA just to see how hard they grade certain cards. I’m surprised I didn’t get 10’s in some cards while also surprised I got 9’s on some and not 8’s. PSA grades all cards different so this was more or a test run.

Hey, just wondering what your thoughts are about junk era bulk cards. I got from a a friend after his dad past away. I just recently started digging into them, one box has at least 300 Christian Laettner rookie cards all the same card. Stuff like this, is it worth it to send some off to PSA to get graded or just sell on Ebay ungraded.

It depends on the condition. Honestly, I would focus on the Superstar HOF only and ensure the card is in pristine condition before submitting to PSA. Also, look for rare inserts.

I thought stickers hold no value. Is it just those older NBA that do in slabs?

How much does it cost to get a card graded?

It means PSA won't grade it for some reason whether it be trimmed, colored, or altered in some way. You can re-submit as being authentic only with no grade if you want it slabbed,

I know that being a great grader for PSA takes a TON of training and experience, but you'd think they could hire a couple more guys so it didn't take 6 months oh my lord

Hey, Matt. Those are some awesome choices to get graded. You were pretty creative in doing the panels with the stickers. I was thinking on doing the opeechee hockey box bottoms the same way. That's why I stopped getting them cut up. It IS weird to see Thomas in an A's uniform. I don't think I've seen a card with him in it. And yes, it's awesome to see Griffey in the Mariners uniform. My favorite card is a sticker. The Jordan and Bird aka the G.O.A.Ts. Have a good one, Matt. Stay safe form the COVID-19. I hear it's nasty.

I was thinking why not have someone create a computer that could scan the whole card from front to back for surface, edge, centering, etc. and give a grade for it instead of relying on human eyes. Just a thought.

Because the industry wants to keep grading subjective. Let me explain. Human grading is imperfect which limits the number of Gem mint 10's out there. Also, human grading is more controllable. If you let a computer start grading cards you would see a lot more 10's which would weaken the industry. The computer would give more precise results. It's about supply and demand. If gem mint 10's start flooding the market, pricing will go down.

They labeled that 1st Jerry Rice Finest Refractor card wrong :(, they only labeled it Topps instead of Finest.

870 bucks for those grades sheesh.. im testing.a strategy buying cards from the dealer already ready to be shipped to psa. And just buy the card outright raw grade. No hunting boxes, auctions, breaks, etc...
