Tim I am a retired firefighter and I agree with some of the other posters that you need to get better at listening about not running your lights and siren that's illegal on the road since you're not a firefighter and you're not on a run also you need to get with someone to teach you how to operate that truck properly so that you don't damage the truck hurt yourself or someone else trying to use it or not be able to use it properly while you're burning something and have the fire get away from you I really enjoy your channel and your content I'd hate to see you put yourself in a bad spot because you don't know what you're doing

love the fact you run old trucks, but still wanting them to be right and not cobbled together!

Matt Nelson, MATT ARNT WE ALL THE SAME!!!!!!!!!😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Tim, Those old macks fire trucks were a great piece, as I drove one for many years in the F.D. Most were geared at 62 mph. Please get someone to show you how to pump it, as it's very easy to burn the pump packing, or over heat the pump. Once you learn to pump it you can set the pressure relief valve and walk away and the pressure will stay the same. Always remember when pumping without a handline flowing, crack the tank fill open to circulate the water to stop the pump from over heating. Ask Brax if he knows why it has a gold color bull dog on the front instead of a silver one. ( ANSWER: THE MACKS WITH THE GOLD COLOR BULL DOG HAS A COMPLETE MACK DRIVETRAIN. CAB, ENGINE, TRANS, REARS, ETC. IF IT HAD A CHROME BULL DOG IT DIDN'T HAVE AN ALL MACK DRIVETRAIN)
@jimschneider5193

You definitely gave him all the right scoop on pumping. I came on the job in Milwaukee summer of 97 and got to ride the last of the old Mack era! Felt so lucky to have rode those bulldogs
When you stop learning you stop caring about your job!! You can do the same job for years and you learn something different everyday!!
Hey Tim hope you are having a blessed evening with the family Also hope you are doing better with your neck issues when you turn your head to fast! Been keeping you in my prayers! Have a good night brother! Keep up the great content we all enjoy and please try to keep us up to date on the Diesel fuel situation
Tim and Brax, that Gold Bull dog on that Mack denotes a 100% Mack truck, engine, rears, pump, frame and body. Seeing the engine briefly looks like an ENDT-673. Quite collectable a piece, especially since it retains the 5 speed.
Tim just because you bought a fire truck don't mean you can go down the road blasting the sirens crazy man 10/4
Tim, can you do a video of your trucking fleet? Be cool to see all of the trucks and modifications you did to each one.
Them old fire trucks are hard to beat. The reason some of the gauges on the pump panel weren’t working is because the pump was not engaged. Atleast that’s how a lot of our fire trucks work. What would be even better is if that truck was updated to a poly tank. Then you wouldn’t have to worry about rust. Pump info should be on a legend plate on the pump panel as well. As the gentleman said all those gauges and discharges and handles are color coded.
Yes, heed the warnings on using the lights and sirens on the fire truck. Could be Trouble you don't need. Rotators are Very capable in recovery. Low center of gravity makes the more stable. We have over Twenty of them in service from 30 to 100 ton. They are capable cranes for heavy lifting, but limited boom length is a problem for general crane work. The rear wheel lift is useless for towing because you can't scale the rear axles when towing. They are added to technically call it a wrecker instead of a crane. And the dot don't say much when using it in emergencies, However you won't get far in a tractor swap. $3-400 K for a decent used rotator, TGP

The argosy is a very common truck here in Australia so possibly tracking down what you need and importing could be your easiest option.
Tim ,I'm 75 & have cleared a lot of brush in my life & never had any problem with burning it up just waited till it was going to rain all day & there was very little if any chance the fire could spread just had to push the pile into the fire as it burned once in a while to complete the job & that was it ,a lite rain all day & you're good to go ! Great Family Biz Keep them Rolling Brother...👍🇺🇸👍👌😎👌🌞 MISSOURI PAUL...👀👂🤞🤗
Tim, thanks for video!! God blessed you all!!
I am glad you are keeping the truck true Mopar. Maybe next year bring it up to beechbend in BowlingGreen Kentucky for Moparty and do the burnout contest.

Love watching the gentry and sons vids always some awesome content and some cool projects keep up the great work gentry 's and God bless

I second the comment about reaching out to Ron Pratt. Super knowledgeable and has years of experience in the towing industry.
I’m glad your dad got a bike, he is always under a truck and works non stop so I’m happy he has a new toy too. As for a shirt design, you should get all your favourite trucks and take a group photo or photoshop a group photo of them all from the front and then the same on the back but the trucks rear ends as I think that would be a great design to have. 👍
Fire truck is wasaay too cool. Great seeing your smile driving that with lights and sirens!
The love of the fire truck makes me want to have one watch this truck looks awesome keep up the good work God bless you and your family
Rotators are so awsome Tim you can do alot with it!!!!

As a volunteer fire fighter my self in order to use the lights and sirens you have to set up an apt with the state to get sertiffied you need alot of things I seen that weren't on the truck

My dad had a ford just like that it was the best pickup truck ever we hauled tractors to sky lifts it was a beast. Keep it up.

They're classic old school and older stuff usually isn't computer controlled. I'm a bus guy who likes the DD S-60. But an 8V-92 with 400HP has less complicated computer stuff and makes a full bus scoot along just fine.
Good choice on the mopar pop gentry rocks with his new bike to dad gentry is a work horse always busy never stops.
Tim look up Whitlock bumpers. They build a tough bumper for the argosy. The light pannels are available as well
Tim I love your blue and white cabover!!! I absolutly love cabover trucks I would love to have one!!!
Looks Fantastic Brax You The MAN
That Mack fire truck is totally awesome.
I was in the trucking industry for 30+ years I’ve seen good and bad.. y’all are going great and going at it the best that can ever be done.. I do recommend you add a nice Jerry dan industrial big rig rollback ( tri axle) ..heavy winches.. ect.. to your fleet you can use that thing to haul and rescue.. move anything with it.. and a occasional side towing hauling job too! A big rollback would do wonders for your business .. it will be a great an fast way to move your forklifts around easy also. It would pay for itself in no time! 😉👍🏻😀
dude I love the VLOG style never know what to expect.
I love all them old trucks them old cabovers will and are cool trucks back in the day built and worked on a bunch of them and drove theres definitly a lot of work building them too wish yall luck yall take care of your health dont let it stress u out too much
The firetruck brings the kid out of anyone, and a rotator TT will be a great addition to your fleet for multiple reasons
You need to talk to @Ron Pratt on youtube about Rotators. He owns Midwest Truck in Missouri and runs a Rotator daily. Great Guy!
The fire truck is the perfect road side/work truck with all that storage for tools and stuff
As everyone else has probably said, don't worry about the quality. This looks just fine and I'm enjoying the content just the same. Can't wait to see the fire truck spraying water. I hope this fuel shortage doesn't get too bad. We're still at $5.50 here in eastern WA, but we'll see what happens. I'm driving for a company now and myself and every other driver will be in trouble if we can't run. And while this company treats us well, I can't expect them to cover lost wages because there's no fuel. Fingers crossed it doesn't get that bad.
It was really good watching you like me and my son love watching you are you and your family and your son my son said that he would like to be just like your son and we’ve been praying for you and your family. God bless.

Tim , you have a real collector Fire Engine there ! Those old Mack’s are great! I would love to come see it and show you how to operate it .
I have nothing but respect for truckers. My dad was cross country for 21 years before he had to stop due to health. I lost him just over 5 years ago.
I rolled up to my brothers house one day with everything on! My nephew freaked out thought the house was on fire and nobody told him! He was Braxton's age. Fun stuff!

we have an old fire truck aswell we use for watering dirt building roads...fire departments take amazing care of their stuff... every single switch works in ours awswell... fun trucks...
the way i always see you guys rebuilding these old trucks, i think you should open a shop building old trucks for guys who don't want to buy these new digital trucks with E-logs
It’s nice to see Westen’s truck getting a fixed, he did a good job fixing it and getting it back on the road but a full rebuild estore was the ticket.
I’m a Mopar person and Thank god you kept it that way everyone screams LS! But Buddy if they have any sense we have a popular 5.7 or 6.1 hemi that you could turn that thing to the moon and build it just like a LS but no one ever looks at them, but the dam block is ran ford an Chevy But hey that 383 alone is worth LOTS OF MONEY!! But I can’t wait to see it roll .Chattanooga Mopars
I know it’s been mentioned a few times but Ron Pratt is the king of wrecker operators on youtube in my opinion. Such a nice guy too. I’m sure he would be willing to answer any questions.

Body shop can fix the Argosy and if worse comes to worse, you can get someone to cast you another piece. Resin spin cast is an inexpensive thing to do. Glad you are making moves to diversify and protect your family and driver's. A great leader looks after their subordinates and looks to build them up. 👍🏼
You have a very cool dad there Tim sense watching your videos I have never seen your dad get mad
tim gentry & son, more power to your elbow sir.
TIM IS THE GOAT
Your dad's bike is nice, them wet clutch plates are easy to work on and replace, I'd add some lightly stiffer springs and new plates
Brace got a real fire truck Timmy that thing belongs in the museum what a beauty
Early CF-600 1967-1968 prior to the brushed stainless panel on the front of the cab. Looks like a 237 Maxidyne, and a 5 speed Maxitorque transmission. There is nothing like the bark of a Maxidyne.
Another good videos Tim love it
That old Mack CF pumper is a gold mine! Collectors will pay real good money for one of them fire engines.
Tim always like to watch you, your awesome.
I think your blue and white cabover is the best looking cabover I have ever seen!!!
Paint job looks good tim thumbs up to you
You can get fiberglass kits to repair that crack...and you can sand that bumper and spray it...or you can send it off and get it dipped
You know Braxton has the coolest stories to tell every week, amongst his friends. 😂
That old EM6 engine is a hell of a torque monster, the just don’t know when to quit.
I think you should build and open a second shop for the public. Your guys are good mechanics, expand the gentry empire.
What a bad ass Mack fire truck!
(22:30) I can't wait to see the Rotator!!! You will have an absolute blast! New they will set you back about a Million dollars depending on the package but the are amazing work horses! Never Owned one just follow a KZread channel out of MO area that runs one for wrecks and stuff and I tell you what from what I see if you keep up on the wear parts ie cables and hydraulic lines etc.. They won't disappoint lol.. Can't wait to see this! Please upload more videos lol!
Dude epic the Mack CF is a legend in the fire truck world!!! I own a 1980 and that looks in allot better shape than mine.
The Turbo on them sounds nasty… probably have to double-clutch it lol. Tim, I would just recommend that as you get close to the winter months if the temperature gets close to freezing to open all the drains, drain the tank and pump as they can freeze and break the piping and pump. It’s probably a 500gpm pump, and should be a tag on the pump panel (drivers side) with all the valves and handles. The tank is under the body (rear behind the cab, where the compartments are. You probably only need 75-100 psi on a hose for monitoring fire pits.
Well your gonna love that old ford because it’s a 7.3 my dad has two of them they have the zf6 though, but I think the hydra with a good set of injectors and a good turbo is the best upgrades for a 7.3 along with a intake and exhaust
Tim @17:03 pretty sure the hoses are meant to go through the metal hoop as well, can understand why they weren't fitted in the hoop as put a lot of stress on the hoses with the cab opened fully, but yeah should be in their holders to reduce vibration fatigue. as for the headlights if you have a problem with them, I would try contacting Volvo, as they did have that style headlights for the Volvo F88 back in the 70's - 80's. or the truck that Mr Wilson got.
That was a good video I liked that fire truck That you bought it's awesome hope you and your family have a blessed night God-bless Love you👍🙏
This is eerie because by him running the fire truck past the shop and watching this episode AFTER knowing about the fire....its kinda foreshadowing.

Last I heard, Jamie Davis no longer has the rotator. Somebody must of gotten p*ssed of that Jamie was taking all the recoveries. BC implemented a new rule only allowing tow companies up there on their assigned weeks. This killed Jamie's business, so he sold his rotator.

Hey Tim. Awesome video, but for headphone users a little warning on the sirens would have been good. I couldn’t hear anything for a good few hours after you started playing with them. Also food for though don’t get done impersonating emergency services because you could end up in a lot of trouble (fines & even jail time). Here in Australia from what I’ve seen they remove all the sirens & lighting before sale. I’m surprised this one is as fitted out as it is.
I love the old firetruck it's so cool
