Just out of my first 10 day Vipassana Silent Meditation Retreat in Dhamma Mutta, Tung Chung, Hong Kong April 27, 2022 - May 8, 2022.
Sharing my raw, unfiltered thoughts.
One of the most difficult experiences of my life, almost gave up half way through, but one of the most rewarding and eye opening journeys I've embarked on.

    I had donated to this Vipassana center of SN Goenka before several times for helping new students. After listening to your video, I planned to donate more. 10-day Vipassana Meditation Retreat is very rewarding after you have finished. It makes you more self-awareness and disciplined. You will become a better person and have more compassion for others including animals. For most including myself, will become vegan or at least cut down meat tremendously. I recommend everyone to try this wonderful 10-day journey and you will not regret!

    During Anapanna practice if you remain aware of your breathing and if your mind wanders in past or future and you bring it back again at being aware of breathing it will help in improving Anapanna practice and you can sit for meditation for longer time. Similarly for Vipassana practice if you focus on small part of body and observe part by part of whole body it will help in increasing the practice time

    Hi Thomas, thanks for your sharing. It is very useful. I am considering to join. May I ask during meditation do you need to wear masks (except speaking to the teacher during linch hour)?Thanks!
