Thank you!! 8 players is a large amount for a round robin tournament lol. It's more feasible to make it 4 or 5 players maximum. Decent idea though. Unfortunately Mugai doesn't have MvC2 for Xbox and Tenderloin is on a hiatus from MvC2.

Why is psyblade assist not banned?

Psylocke AAA isn't banned in my Mid Tier Tournaments because unlike Commando AAA and Tron projectile assists it doesn't do a high amount of damage, also it doesn't have a large vertical or horizontal range. Also, Psylocke has below average defense therefore she can get punished and killed fairly easy as an assist. On top of all of that there are no characters in the Mid Tier who can use Psylocke AAA as effectively as Magneto and Storm can in the standard meta. Psylocke AAA is not overpowered in the Mid Tier meta.

@rayplaysgames_RPG - yes Psylocke assist has some invincibility frames but that doesn't mean it needs to be banned. Cammy AAA and Jin AAA have invincibility frames too as do some other assists in the Mid Tier. Colossus AAA straight up nullifies most projectiles in the game too.

@rayplaysgames_RPG - spamming implies mindless assist calling. Khaos and Skitz were not 'spamming' Psylocke AAA. If Psylocke AAA is called recklessly she can easily be punished and killed. There's even parts of my commentary during the Grand Finals where I mention that Psylocke AAA is vulnerable and can be baited, countercalled and punished.

Skitz is a phenomenal player. Skitz is player 1 in this video. I go by the arcade style for my video titles in the sense that the first player listed is player 1 and the second player listed is player 2.

Good games! But Khaos didnt stand a chance against Skitz. Two different levels of Mid-tier players. Khaos' Shuma team doesnt do too well at all without Sentinel or Doom Rocks assist. Good games again!!!

It was the teams more than anything. Not only was Skitz's team just flat out better than Khao's it also matchup'ed well. Ruby/Iceman/Psy would mess up a lot of top tier teams too. Waterfall and icebeam is super obnoxious. Psy assist should be banned imo.

@vitaminrstudios iceman was definitely a factor in this matchup i agree. His icebeam projectile is one of the best in the game. Sometimes teams does in fact make the biggest difference. But in this case I don't think Khaos would've had a chance either way. Khaos is best with God tier characters; he gets mopped in Mid-tiers.

@@DerrickWhitsyJr We've never seen Khaos go all in with mid-tiers. Until we see Khaos develop a true mid-tier team (no Sent, Doom etc.) I wouldn't rule him out of wrecking mid-tier specialists at their own game.

@@vitaminrstudios I’ve played against Khaos Mid tier bro... the Latin community dominates mid tiers. Americans dominate God tiers. Khaos gets obliterated against VDO, Strago, and Cefichamp level players. Having said that, I will say he has one of the best Spider-Man’s I’ve ever played and seen in action. He would have quite some catching up to do before he’s ready for the big dogs of mid tier though.

Wasn't thrilled about double Psylocke in grands but she's a fun enough combatant in low-tiers that it balanced out. Can someone just make a mod that rebalances "defense" values? It's so annoying watching cool characters like Shuma barely get to play because they die instantly to everything.

I agree that Psylocke is a fun and interesting character. She's a lot more than merely a good assist. TVi has been working on a 1v1 Mod for Dreamcast which also increases defense/vitality of low defense characters. However, that would have no impact on online Tournaments such as my XBL Tournaments since it's not possible to mod that version of the game.
