The last scene tho. I feel like I got inside Ssangmundong when I started watching this and I got trapped there. I'm still there. 😭😭😭 I think I will nevee be able to move on from this.

This song deserves a Guinness world record for the most emotional yet nostalgic song of the decade. My heart breaks apart whenever I hear this song, I remember the past years I've spent with my loved ones. Life was simpler then, we were happy even though we had nothing luxurious 🥲🙂

Ikr. Also the way the drama felt so homey as if we were the part of gang living with them and experienced all of the things. The way this song is so perfect for the drama, the lyrics, everything is just perfect

Never been to Korea, Not even born in the 90s or before but somehow this drama got me so emotional, someone recommended me to watch this when I was going through some hard times, Thank God I didn't skip it. This is so wholesome 😭❤ Will surely watch it when I will be in my 40s or 50s . ❤ Loads of love

I was positive in covid 19 while watching this drama and it really helped me cope up with stress and depression. Thank you Ssangmundong squad

Most of the MV's only show the kids, I loved the parents and their stories. I'm glad the families are all shown here.

Best kdrama ever 😭

I’m an Arab but the connection I felt while watching this drama was unbelievable. I remember being a kid and my grandmother gives me food, fruits, and whatever we have and asks me to take it to our neighbors and then they give me anything they have and asks me to take it home to my grandmother so it was similar to the first episodes of the drama. I also remember how we used to sit outside the house with the fruits we have or the sweets we made while watching the people who come and go across us. It also reminded me of how we listen to the radio to know the news and what’s happening around the world or in our country. And us going to our neighbor’s house and play board/card games and watch tv together or play the old video games after coming back from the grocery while having ice cream and snacks. I miss those simple days. This is the thing that makes reply 1988 so great, it was a family based drama and it was literally the most heartwarming drama ever, it touched my soul and heart with every single episode. The plot was not about who will end up with who, it was about families, neighbors, best friends and their youth. it was beautifully shown how they were always by each others sides. It was about family bond, parents and their children. It was about the struggles and hardships in life. It was about a period of time and stories that will forever leave a great impact in my heart.

I just clicked this video while im doing my report and i suddenly saw the subtitles ‘how many things we’ve lost touch with while living our lives’ and its the last scene where duk seon took a last look on the neighbourhood she used to live in and it broke my heart so much i cant stop crying.. i miss my child to teenage years and everything about this series.

Vi este drama durante el 2021 mientras aùn estabamos encerrados por la pandemia y no saben lo fuerte que rei, lo mucho que llore tambien, me enamore de esta serie y su OST es maravilloso. De los mejores dramas coreanos, me encanta que sea tan realista y hable de la cotidianidad de las familias coreanas en los 90's. Hace poco pase por momentos muy dificiles y el verla otra vez me hizo sentir mucho mejor, siempre amare Reply 1988.

It's been years i am still stuck in this drama it break my heart when everyone is leaving one by one from Ssangmun-dong why writer done this if I was the writer i didn't separate them they should leave where they were from ages there children should move but parents should live in Ssangmun-dong live their life's like before they used be and all the gang visit when they are free from schedule partying and dancing like before it was the best ending for me. But writer just spoil the mood after long 19 episode in end they separated all of them and didn't show what they are doing in present how they are doing in life atleast in interview session they should show the gang sitting together in last then also it was great 😢 i just can't get over from last episode which they showed i always regret watching this drama
