They didn't leave the company yet. Their contracts aren't terminated just suspended. They can't resign with any other company until their contract gets terminated and they're still under BBC. The only difference is they get to choose whether or not they want to join group activities.

@@D_EVILSPAWN (Long comment. TL;DR is at the very bottom) it’s mainly bc their main producers (monotree) changed. Now they don’t seem to have a “main” one anymore but a couple months ago it would have been Ryan S Jhun. They seemed to stop working with Ryan S Jhun which personally I am happy about. I’m not the biggest fan of Paint The Town but Not Friends was pretty good I guess. Now here’s what is weird about monotree: they still work with Blockberry Entertainment sometimes. In Queendom 2, I believe Loona worked with Monotree for “Tell me now” and BBC is debuting a new soloist and in one of the tracks in the teasers, Monotree is credited. The main theory as to why Loona won’t work with monotree again is that BBC want to disconnect from Jaden Jeong (creative director) as much as possible. When Jaden left, their music was no longer produced by monotree and there has been no explanation as to why they won’t work with Loona again if they seem to be on decent grounds with BBC. Also it is important to note that even if monotree begins producing their music again, it may not be the same. As creative director, Jaden Jeong was in charge of what the “Loona sound” would be like. With him gone, it may not be the same. Now I’m not really defending him or anything bc I know he is a controversial topic among orbits. Also with the new comeback “Flip That”, it seems to be an attempt at the “Loona sound” so maybe Loona doesn’t need Jaden or even monotree to go back to their pre debut music. TL;DR Main producer (monotree) changed and creative director (Jaden Jeong) left. Even if monotree come back, it may not be the same as there won’t be the guidance of the creative director. Flip That seems to be a good step in the right direction tho to go back making songs like they did in this era. Also regarding the line distribution and who gets the spotlight, I honestly believe that’s BBC’s fault. It’s an issue which has carried over ever since Loona’s debut, even with the producer changes. I think it’s making the overall image of some of the members like Heejin and Chuu suffer. They’re both incredibly talented but BBC is trying too hard to push them and neglecting other members like Vivi. I don’t think Loona is going to make it last seven years bc of how terrible their management is.
