The storyline is that after Hong Jin Young failed at a job interview she is saying cheer up. She is also reminded of how her dad lost his job when she was in high school and he was depressed. That is where the stamp comes in, she used it on her dad and then her husband Nam Goong Min stamped her hand to remind her to cheer up as well!

I have another storyline. Hong Jin young failed at a job interview. Namgung Min, her boyfriend, made the stamp for cheering her up. At the same day, her father lost his job. But he decided to conceal it from the family for the time being. In the evening, they came across near home. Not knowing his loss but feeling something wrong with him, she stamped his hand for cheering him up. (In her misfortune, she grew up.) We can imagine that, forgetting their misfortune, they go home hand in hand just like they did in their past happy days.

며칠전 동네에 한불축제 오셨는데 정말 클라스가 다르게 잘 부르시더라구요^^ 마지막 순서셔서 막 인사하며 가시는데 사진다찍어주시려하고, 사람들 몰리고 밀쳐지는데도 웃음한번잃지않으시던데^^ 여러곡 부르시느라 힘드셨을텐데도.. '산다는 건'부르실 때 전율이 돋으면서 눈물도 살짝나던데! 물론 직업이니만큼 감수하셔야 하는 부분이겠지만 그래도 고생많으셨고 늘 잘되시길 바랄게요^^

너무 명곡이에요

매년 힘들 때 와서 듣습니다. 제 인생 정말 많은 힘이 되준 노래에요

뮤비에 나오는 과장님 나이네요. 홍진영 가수님이 학위니 뭐니 하는 것으로 구설수에 있는데 그래도 예전에 이 노래를 들으면서 위로를 받았던 고마움에 지금도 변치 않고 가수님에 대한 의리를 지킵니다. 늦은 밤에 혼자 한잔하면서 또 이 노래를 듣습니다. 오늘 컨퍼런스에 VIP자리에 초청 받아서 홍진영님의 노래를 제일 앞자리에서 직관했습니다. 황홀했습니다. 세상에는 많은 좋은 노래들도 있지만 삶에 지친이들에게 위로를 주는 노래가 있다는 것에 고마움을 전합니다. 고맙습니다.

What I think the MV means: The old man is fired from his job and his daughter (Hong Jin young) is desperately trying to get hired for his sake. She is reminded of when she came to visit her dad as a high-schooler and the good times they had. She is worried that her father is having a hard time, so she stamps "Good job" on his hand (I think) and gives him a hug. The father smiles and realizes that his daughter has always cheered him on during hard times. :)

The stamp literally says something more like 'Please get energy', but the phrase is used in the same way we would say 'Cheer up!'

The first time I heard this song was when it debuted. Never realize that a few months after that it'll became my lifeline. I played this song a few times a day for that whole year just to be reminded that after the rain, there's always a rainbow. Recurring depression was an experience I never wish for others to go through. Hope this song helps you just like it had help me. Hong Jin Young, thank you so much!!!!!

작년 여름에 내가 세상에서 제일 좋아하고 힘이 됐던 아빠 돌아가셨을때 많이 듣고 울고 위로가 됐던 노래! 오늘도 눈물이 나네요. 눈물비도 ... 진영씨 고마워요. 진영씨는 사랑을 많이 받고 자란 티가 나요. 그래서 보기가 좋아요. 항상 당당한 모습 잊지말아요.

산다는건 100점중에 100점이네요 역시 홍진영 타이틀이에요. 우리나라의 톱가수들을 이기는 홍진영. 요즘은 처음 출발 부터 먼가 터트리고 보는데 이곡이 지금까지도 사랑 받을 곡인것 같네 이건 처음부터 100점이야 지금 노래는 서서히 올리면 바꿀때 터지지가 않아. 안바꾸고 고정적으로 먼가를 계속 고집있게하는 이노래가 진짜 우리나라 감성에 맞는듯

저도 24살 거의 내년에는 25살인데 시간이 참 빠른거같아요, 그저 돈을 빨리 벌기위해 일찍 사회생활을 시작했는데 이제라도 저의 꿈을 위해서 공부하려고 합니다!

Thank you so much for this song... I was about to give up my college for the second time because I fcking hate everything there... I was unhappy with what I was doing and all i thought about was what i could do if i wasn't in the course i was studying... Worst thing is i already changed course once, which means all my parents money were wasted.. Then i chose this course which i hated and wanted to quit again, but i didn't want to disappoint my parents, have relatives look down on us... I was in a serious dilemma until I heard this song... Now, Im just going to quit complaining and finish this course because if others can do it, why can't I? I have one more year to go and it will be over in a blink of an eye, so good luck me :) And everyone out there who is having a hard time, you can do it!!!

This was beautiful ❤ I was and am jealous of daughters who are close to their father. Me and my dad aren't very close we rarely laugh and talk, sometimes we get awkward around each other. But I'm still happy. I know he loves me as much as all the fathers in the world love their daughters 😊 it's just that he doesn't know how to express it and as i grow older I've understood him more. same here... my mom and dad came back when I was 10 I used to live with my mom.. so was kind strange to me to live with my dad now I'm 19 and we still awkward around each other but I now he loves me and I love him too.. I just never said that to him... (sorry for my english.. it's not my first language ^^)

Rambha Crystal Snow Be grateful you still have a dad with you, some people like myself, my mum and dad divorced when I was 2 and he was occasionally seeing me to take out as a kid but suddenly disappeared from the grid when I was 12 and doesn't talk to any of us or his family anymore :) I have been missing a father figure for so many years now, I'm used to it. And some people don't even have fathers anymore or have never even met their father ever. So be happy you still have your father by your side even if your relationship may be difficult at times, because it's the same with my mother :)) Cheer up! 💓

저 아빠 입장은 아니지만.. 노가다 안전조회장에 나와서 들었던 저 노래. 당시 노래는 알지만.. 뮤비 몰랐다가.. 뮤비 보니..참.. 가사랑 뮤비가.. 슬프면서. 위로가 필요할때 보게 되네요. 노래가사 처럼.. 산다는건 참... ;; ㅎㅎ 힘들게 사는 30대 노가다 꾼인데.. 뮤비보며 위안 삼게 되네요 ㅠㅠ .. 모두들 화이팅 합시다.

I watched Hong Jin Young on We Got Married and I adored her character as she was bubbly and lively and loves to make people smile and laugh with her bright personality. Listening to this song, it really tugged on my heartstrings. I think this song - and video - is just perfect. Her vocals are just wow :O I had tears in my eyes listening her sing this song. I love how she looks in this video. So peaceful and serene. And the fact her (virtual) husband, Nam Goong Min acted in the video as well made me more believe her acting. P.S. Yes, I do ship both of them together :)

agree. jinyoung and namgong min have a special connection, whether in real life or in WGM. everyone is saying they both bring out the best of each other. and they both are marriagable age....if they both feel good about each other, i really hope they go for their instincts and date for real~

I don’t understand Korean, but from the first time I listened to this song, I felt lots of optimistic energy. The song gives me motivation to do what I love, to overcome ups and downs in life and belive in a brighter future ahead. Thank you the composer and singer for making this beautiful song, many people will find it meaningful like me.
