7 years ago. BTS still rocks. Even 9 years ago when they debuted. Since day 1, they are already very talented.

Fire, any of their solo tracks, especially by RM and Suga (Augst D) all of their stuff is so good. I'm a fan of the rap line stuff, the cyphers, Ugh, etc

This was back in 2015! You could say Dope and I NEED U Original was their break through. For many of us including myself Dope was the song that got me into BTS in 2015😁 and have been a fan ever since. No regrets. With BTS they do many different genres so everyone can listen to them.

It's okay not to like everything, I appreciate your honesty. This was back when they were still trying to make a name for themselves and ppl, media especially were downplaying their success, potential, hard work.

MV's are hard, but live performances hits different. Its not the samee, yall should watch their performances, you can also see the fully dance choreo!

Released in 2015. This is the kind of style they have before they went with more mainstream. I love the message behind this song. Old people (ahem aka parents and the other w've been here did that) usually disregard their dreams and expect them to have the typical white collar jobs. RM scored in the top 1% of the nation in the university entrance examinations for language, math, foreign language and social studies and had an , and his parents strongly opposed to his music career at first, expect him to pursue typical white collar jobs but he pursued his dreams by being in the underground hiphop first and now being with BTS.

Y'all should have started at the beginning of the BTS journey and when you got to Dope you would give it 10+. I guess your assessment is fair. The rabbit hole with BTS is never-ending. There are unique meanings to each and every song. These 7 deserve every. ounce. of. success. they. earned. today. It's a 10 for me.

BTS are also not the only ones to do this, fanchanting is a kpop thing. BTS have many songs like this, I recommend: BTS - Dionysus (fanchant).

@@Elsagwene they said what the reason is: they’ve seen their other (newer) work and they feel like dope didn’t show their full potential. i personally love dope and think it’s one of their best older tracks but music is subjective.

Their live performances are always mind blowing! Fire, Not Today, Dionysus, Blood Sweat, and Tears, I love them all. The choreography is what got me hooked on them.

I still love BTS’ Dope so much. I saw them perform this live in LA last month, and it was so good. Even though this video is now about 5-6 yrs old, these guys still perform all the moves with precision. It really is incredible. This song is awesome, but I do think the choreo and lyrics make it amazing. The costumes of various occupations are meant to convey the fact that while other guys might be out partying every night, BTS was in the studio & practice rooms working hard to achieve their dreams. Nice reaction from you guys! I know you all don’t have to love every song/video you hear/see. But I think there is a lot of BTS out there for everyone to find something to really love. Keep up the great work! 😁

Yup, this an old one. You should check out all their old stuff, It’s fun to watch them so young when they started yet they were so good already, you knew they would reach the top as they have. No More Dream was their debut song, then came Bulletproof. Check them out when they were young teens.

I love this song so much i cosplayed as Jimin from this MV and did the Dope dance at a local comic con near me and i had fun. Also i love how Jimin and Jungkook bounced of eachother, with their voices. Jimin in this MV is why i love a man in uniform, i love Jimins voice and i also love his highnotes aswell but his character is the one i love, this is partly the reason Jimin is my ultimate kpop bias. Your honest about your opinions and reactions. Big ups🙌🏽. Just want to point out that Dope is one of the top ranked songs for most all ARMY’s for lots of reasons. One being the lyrics. And I like how you all had begun paying attention to some of the lyrics in past reactions. BTS did not gain the largest fandom in the world from just looks, tight beats and amazing videos. 98.999% of their songs have a story and meaning to them. Facts: they debuted and immediately took on their entire country’s mindset and deeply rooted culture on a lot of issues. This was always greatly expressed in their lyrics from the beginning. For this reason, and others, they were talked down to, trashed in the idol circuit and often told how they’d never succeed. This is the back story these men came from and a huge reason why they acquired a fandom that stuck with them over time. And oh, each of them have solo projects that are a MUST to check out. Especially that rap line trio (Jhope, RM and Suga *aka* Agust D)🙌🏽💜

BTS MMA 2019 performance was one for the books and I would say their most thoughtful and extremely fun stage to watch ever . I definitely recommend watching that out of all of their MMA performances!! As for MAMA performance, as both MMA and MAMA are different award ceremonies, BTS’s 2019 MAMA performance is also SOOO fun to watch !!

dope is about hard work and perseverance they also breifly discuss “the giving up generation”. the giving up generation is actually the generation bts is apart of (mostly millennials) in korea ( when the baby boomers were young) they were economically thriving. the percentage of people who had jobs, houses, and families was very much on the rise, however, while they managed to create a stable economic country for them they didn’t pay attention to how their spending and over consumption would effect the future generations. in korean the word for the giving up generation was “sampo generation”, meaning they gave up three things: dating, marriage and childbirth (due to financial instability). the name was then changed to “opo generation” which means 5 things were given up: (along with the last three they added) owning a home and having a career. then the name was changed to the chilpo generation which meant they were giving up 7 things: (along with the others) they added hope/hobbies and human relationships. the line from RM during his verse talking about giving up 3, 5, and 6 is a reference to those ideas mentioned above. however, he says they aren’t going to give up 6 which is hope. they also talk about something similar in their song baepsae.
