well 5 lived and kept fighting afterwards you know its depressing when you find out that almost all the other valkyrie members that died like isumi and hayase were actually the heroines of previous visual novels age made soo for long time fans their deaths were just as painful as anyone elses maybe even more

Muv-Luv is my favourite for other reasons but Totono and Subahibi do the bait-and-switch even better. And Yu-No did it in 1996.

@@MattyGamerMC It'd be better to call it a genre shift, but a bait and switch (in this context) is leading the consumer to believe it's going to be one thing and then having it actually be another. In this case, most people assume Muv Luv to be just a lighthearted harem, but the tone shifts completely with Unlimited/Alternative.

+shadowclock13 Yeah, the kickstarter ended a while ago, with great success (they reached the base goal in 8 hours, and the total was over $1 million!), and they recently said they're 3 months away from releasing the first game (which contains Muv-Luv Extra and Unlimited). To be fair, they're using the unofficial translation as a base, but they're adding corrections, and new CGs, and some other stuff. Also, more importantly, you will be able to play it on windows versions newer than XP, without the bugs that plagued the unofficial version. Personally, as a fan of Muv-Luv (especially Alternative, one of the best VNs ever), it all seems like a dream....

Chomp, Tenticle rape, Convoluted dating sim references, lack of attention, etc. I'd love it to happen (like 50% of VN's I love), but it's never going to happen.

True... yeah, it would be kinda difficult. The first one is easy to take in, but Alternative... is pretty much above the level of even Ghost in the Shell, and gives new meaning to the word 18+

Cause the whole Muv Luv plot should require 4-5 seasons to be decently animated, and Extra is a bit boring, thats what i think

Well, at least we won't have to worry about the producers skirting around the "who will he pick" issue like in other VN to Anime adaptations like Majikoi, since he ends up with Sumika (after all the others to some extent) in canon... it just takes three (two?) whole games.

I know this is kinda late but the steam version quicksaves at the start of each day and when you need to choice an option, so you should've been able to view your latest quicksave, and then make that your actual save... if you don't have the steam version then idk if this is possible

+Eko Tsurugi There was one unpleasant thing about Alternative, and then I remembered. Slutmika's very existence in the multiverse. Scratch Meiya (god tier waifu of the universe), any of the girls other than her deserved so much better.
