Honestly It worked better than I thought. I have since dropped the Best Friends for another Trial Begins because I drawing the Hut is too important.

@quietintroduction Soulless doesn't stop afterlifes from triggering. Otherwise The Dearly Departed wouldn't need to combo with any card to be good.

@@sadisteck Ok, another idea is that the Anagreos (12/7) obliberates the destroyed creature..

Ahhh that one makes full sense. Yes obliteration does cancel afterlife. I forgot he obliterates. Thank you

We have deduced that Anegreos obliterates creatures it damages. Obliterating a creature doesnt trigger its afterlife.
