When Intelligence follows up on a tip about an upcoming drug trade, the team discovers a man's mutilated body.

When Intelligence follows up on a tip Antonio (Jon Seda) and Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) received from a reliable informant about an upcoming drug trade, the team is shocked to discover the mutilated body of a man. Upon further investigation, the body is identified as a government official and when Olinksy (Elias Koteas), Ruzek (Patrick Flueger), Lindsay (Sophia Bush) and Halstead question the man's acquaintances they discover he had access to very important devices. Meanwhile, Burgess (Marina Squerciati) helps plan a surprise for Platt (Amy Morton).

I love how they have already uploaded parts of this episode before, but some stuff is new and some stuff is still left out. Also, when they are bugging the house, how did they have the EXACT same bugged toaster and smoke alarm to swap out the normal ones?

In the episode, they were in her house twice prior to the "bugging situation", I assume that would be why. However, it is a TV show, so it just fits haha

I don't know if before what they showed in this clip they were trailing him for a case, but what we saw was that he just had a broken breaklight so the officers asked for the lisce se of registration. + It would have been a dumb move if she was alone. She had 2 cops in the car which pulled up in front of them and her partner which had his hand on his gun already. I don't care about your speed, but a man who already has his hand on a weapon can draw faster than one who had to take it from a place the officers couldn't see, aim and then fire.
How the hell did the wife made CPD? Considering that she also turned on the music, she must have some serious skills and experience. Was she some sort of sleeper agent?

I know a officers life was in damage but could he get in trouble for shooting a suspect 6 times even while the body was dropping? Seems excessive but I’m not a police officer or internal affairs lmao someone help my brain make sense of it

Because the suspect posed a significant threat to the officer, they are allowed to use whatever force necessary to neutralize the threat. If it takes one shot or one magazine, it’s justified, since they can’t risk the suspect getting a shot off and fatally hitting the officer.

Bullets in real life don't behave like they do on TV, in real life there is body cam footage of people eating rounds as they charge police officers. Police are allowed to mag dump if they need to use an entire magazine to neutralize a threat
