Mutabaruka -It's Sad Black People Believe Bible Stories More Than The Reality In Front Of Their Face

In this reasoning Rastafari dub poet, musician, actor, educator, and radio host Mutabaruka speaks about the similarities between the famous nursery rhymes and bible stories. He argues both were made with the intention of providing lesson through allegory not to be accepted as historical events.
Mutabaruka says, "When are we going to give up those little archaic beliefs and thinking and get down to the nitty gritty of it? The nitty gritty is that these stories are allegories! And if you do not understand what allegories are, go in the dictionary to look for it. In Galatians, Paul tells you about the allegories of Abraham. In other words, he is telling you that Abraham did not exist. It is just a story they are showing you that might have a greater meaning. So they use images to show the story. So when they say the allegory of Abraham, they are telling you that Abraham didn’t really exist ,but they are going to tell you a story about a man named Abraham."

Christianity was legitimately weaponized to assert control over entire populations. i genuinely can't believe any human can take anything in the Bible seriously. Christianity has been possibly one of the most imperialistic and deadly ideas to have ever came about. killing innocent people just because they don't believe in your god. so senseless and ignorant. disgusting. Christianity has likely erased thousands of years of traditions and various other cultural ideas and beliefs, all over the world too. it is truly sad that so many people perpetuate this ignorance. they can't think for themselves or follow their gut at all. any human with half a brain can figure out that there was no Jesus and he damn sure wasn't white if he did exist and all of the sexism and misogyny throughout the bible shows that it was written by mortal men and they clearly had an agenda to spread their beliefs to the masses in order to gain influence over them. all this along with white imperialism has sadly caused an incalculable amount of trauma and suffering in innocent humans since it has existed. Christianity is not a religion of peace and love. it is a religion of suffering, bigotry, hatred, willful ignorance leading to mass denial of facts and science. I am fully convinced that no other religion has caused more suffering (both external and internally due to guilt and the fear of going to hell and being judged by a so-called "all loving god")and death than any other religion to have ever existed.

I would just say "religion" is not always the Truth, but the Truth is always right. "I am the Way, the Truth and the Light/Life." There are six ways in which man has enslaved itself: religion, government and money (the more widely accepted methods), plus drugs, weapons and sex (the elephant in the room problems everyone would rather pretend do not exist). Most people are entangled by at least three of these tactics at all times. The point is even if one manages to break free from one of these shackles, there are others drawing one in, or to capture again.

Firstly we must make up our minds who we want to serve...God or our ancestors. Our race is the most spiritual ..I will add the Indiginous Peoples also. If you read with a mind to gain truth, the Bible that is, you will see our ancestors all throughout that great. You know that Jesus was not white. The reason I believe in what God's word says is because of the prophecies that He gave to us to prepare us for the end..pleez people, read Amos, read Zephania, read Daniel. New World Order is right at our doorstep and you all are still fussing about Jesus being white and white religion. It's time to wake up. Pope is bringing national Sunday LAW and it will be mandated! No buy...no sell if you don't bow to this beast. Wait for it....its coming! Covid is spiritual not physical and we can already see the mandates coming from this covid plan. Our ancestors are dead and they can't help us 8n this time only God can. Mr. Mutu there always sounds very antichrist, he to will have to make up his mind soon who he really wants to serve

It took me many years to realize that what a lot of what he is saying is absolutely true, I stopped going to the Christianity church & what was one of my first questions was to myself was, "What we're my African brutha's & sista's believing in before the Christians came along with their bible?" What we know is what we we're force feed & we lost who we we're through them separating us from who we really are. Africans told their young their history through generations mostly through word of mouth & somehow that lasted through generation's but when the caucasian's came & held us captive, in slavery, we lost all that we knew of our people because if we we're caught telling one another our history, it could result in death. I still wonder why our people still go to their churches & still teach one another their Christianity? aren't my people curious about who they really are? or are their minds so brainwashed & beat into submission that they will continue to be trained sheep leading one another to the same proverbial slaughter? 🤔💭💡

Christianity is not a white man's religion. Look at where Christ was born it is not a land of Europeans neither were the people white. When the first Roman general believed in Christ he wanted to take this message to his people and so the physical representation of Christ was whitewashed to be more accepted by the other Roman people. The Roman "Çhristians" or the Roman Catholics were formed. Jesus Christ was not white but the Romans perverted his image to suit their own selfish needs. I decided to read the Bible and have noted also that scholars have attempted many times to prove that it is just a book, but the recorded events and the places it occured proved to the scholars that these events did infact occur. The problem with Christianity is not in the Bible but false false doctrines and different denominations teaching it at churches. People need to read the Bible on their own.

First I would like to thank you for your eagerness & thirst for knowledge on this topic, now I in no way am a scholar when it comes to this subject but I have tried to do my due diligence to seek out the truth about our people for we are somebody as a people & us being detached from who we are started to bother me so I developed a hunger to know much more about our people. The question that I purposed to myself was how old is our mother Africa? Then it was how old is the Bible? & I found out that the Bible's inception was around 3,400 to 3,450 years ago now the continent of Africa dates back 3.6 billion to 2.6 billion years ago so you see Africa has been around before the Bible was dated. So I asked myself, What religion did our people practice back then & you are absolutely right, we believed in Allah & Muslim was our religion. People today don't understand that people that were Muslim were a peaceful people & today they are seen as radical demons & a cult. We get there through that process of slavery because we weren't allowed to keep & practice our own religion. When African's spoke in their native country, since the Anglo Saxon's didn't understand us, they beat us, killed us, & well you know the rest. I have tried to give you only my perspective on this topic so I hope that you seek the many answers that you rightfully deserve to know. ✊🏾💪🏾❤

@TheDay HeMade-1st of all I would like to thank you for your comment, now with all due respect I think that your trying to murk the waters with the introduction of bringing science like paleontology & archeology into this conversation when we are talking about the creation of man & his inception, now let's start here in the Bible there is no mention of dinosaurs in it & the Bible starts in Genesis, so there is two different theory's that we have to reflect to, 1.) The Darwin theory, & 2.) The Freudian theory, & you seem to have a strong scientific belief that again murks the water between these two theories. We could debate these beliefs until the cows come home but in this conversational arena, were discussing one's belief in The Bible & it's origins ie the original man. So please keep your comment's so that we all can stay on track, thank you.

@TheDay HeMade- That was a very intellectual & intelligent view & a lot of things that you point out are in fact very obvious factor's as when it comes to America, yes most of us have been indoctrinated into Christianity & that was one of the statements that I set out to convey ahead of the origins of Africa inception. My friend I still must hold your feet to the fire when I say that before Christianity was brought to our people, that we were not studying Christianity as our faith of religion. There is a very different history when it comes to the Caucasian race verses the African race & I know that you could probably agree, now all I'm saying is that we as African decent should do research to find out who we are & where we came from, also the way of life & the teachings of our people's rich history. I am in no way disputing some of the points of view that you raise, but I do have a strong belief that yes we were brainwashed & forced to conform, be beat into submission, or be put to death. You must agree to my analysis of the statement that I just raised, I am wholeheartedly aware that again our people prayed to Allah & being a Muslim & practicing that way of life was indeed the religion that Africans practiced before the book of the Bible was introduced to them. Just to be clear I don't have any reservations in people believing in who & what they want believe in, but it is fact that if history went the way that our Maker intended to go maybe our people would be speaking in African dialect now. I understand that many Afro-american people that read this will abruptly dismiss my line on thinking but as some people would say, "The truth hurts" & facing the facts are one way to open a locked mind & open it up to the beautiful heritage that has been erased from our people, but even today we are still treated differently even as the scales of justice predominantly are outweighing us, the housing & job ratio are significantly bias, & the drugs are being pumped into our neighborhoods to ensure that our children will be at a disadvantage in the classroom, I can go on for year's as to how our people have been wronged for centuries & it is still happening today. They call this country free, but how can it be free when all the before mentioned fact's lead us to understand that we as a people are still being force feed the way of the Anglo Saxon in the Native American country that we all reside in today. No one even brings their history up, this country was strong armed from them & their history was also erased for the advancement of a people that didn't even belong here. Do you see the parallels that connect the African race & the Native American race? I do know that atrocities were committed against both races orchestrated by who? So with that I will relent & graciously exit this conversation, but before I go I would like to say that it was indeed a pleasure discussing a very broad subject with such a intelligent human being & I solely believe that there was only one intention with the creation of man, that there was only meant to be one race, the human race, none better than the other, but in one light, His light. Thank you & be blessed. 🤗🙏🏾🤜🏾💥🤛🏾

The children of God came out of Egypt, Abraham went down to Egypt, Jesus and his family went to Egypt, the Ethiopian eunuch went to Jerusalem to worship, wow, and we still think it’s the “white man God”. I’m not saying that the Bible started in Egypt, I am just trying to point out that it didn’t start in Europe with the “White Man”.Well, everybody still have the right to believe what he wants to believe. This is the same reason Black people find themselves in the current situation they do. The other half is a lack of knowledge, worshiping that which they know not. That's a very selfish, egocentric view of God and religion. You survived because your god rewarded you for believing (otherwise childish) superstitions? If that's part of god's general modus operandi, then I would see no point in worshipping such a deity/being. In contrast to your own fate in 2000, how many bible believers are involved in fatal accidents each and every day? How many die from Corona every hour? As a neutral observer I wouldn't overlook all the counterevidence.

His word is True, the Scriptures/Bible is not a religious book but both Historical and Prophetic book consisting of past events that have already happened and some yet to unfold. The hidden mysteries in the scriptures can only be revealed by YAH through personal study and seeking of his word for yourself not through man! by only following man you become vulnerable to fall prey to false teachers who both reject and corrupt the word of YAH through false teachings, who's purpose is do deceive because they have made an agreement to work for the kingdom of darkness which is of the devil/satan. 2 Corinthians 4:4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. Matthew 11:28-30 28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” John 3:18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And if you read more of the Bible. Dust doesn’t mean dirt it means people. Just that they seek to be advanced in spiritual/ inward more than external/ physical. Contrary to what muta said that they didn't understand weather, astrology etc. I doubt that, the ancient teachers were way beyond that. I actually think we are way less intelligent than at least the ancient teacher's, guru's etc. They took value in what matters. We the opposite. That just my take still.

I hear what he's trying to say about the snake story. But however african religions have FAR more outlandish stories, such as how horus was born. Who was born to the goddess Isis after she retrieved all the dismembered body parts of her murdered husband Osiris, except his penis, which was thrown into the Nile and eaten by a catfish,or sometimes depicted as instead by a crab, and according to Plutarch's account used her magic powers to resurrect Osiris and fashion a phallus to conceive her son (older Egyptian accounts have the penis of Osiris surviving). After becoming pregnant with Horus, Isis fled to the Nile Delta marshlands to hide from her brother Set, who jealously killed Osiris and who she knew would want to kill their son. There Isis bore a divine son, Horus. Or how a celestial being "Nutted" inside of another celestial divine being and gave birth to other God's when if we recall sperm is involved for the process of birth for mammals. To be honest african religions have way more explaining to do the then the possible metaphor affiliated with a talking snake. Also a good majority of religions antagonist was usually a snake or some reptile. So it's a reason for it from some source. Also african religions and the animal half man deities they worship is spoken about throughout majority of Exodus.

This is the same muta who holds H.I.M Haile Selassie to a higher order than God. This is a confused man who reveille in his own wisdom. Just as how muta portrays selassie as a great leader and honors his teachings without failing to point out all his atrocities , he is doing the same with those who believe in the Bible. If you gonna tell the story tell the whole story both about the Bible as well as selassie and let people decide.

The Bible is mixed with truth and lies. What people believed existed in reality is what goes on in ourselves. The struggles of having to choose to delay gratification in order to fortify your mind and spirit. Struggles between what's right and wrong...and so on and on. Many people really believe what's in the bible really happened. But the truth is if you have the wisdom and knowledge then the truth in the bible will jump out to you. Everything else that does not resonate leave by the wayside and take what does.

Always respected you as a wise person who was not a Christian but now I am awakened to who you truly serve and what your agenda is. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks!
