The Gnawa do not see their performances as music rather as confessions of faith. That explains also the missing of other instruments but the gembry, an ancient bass guitar, and percussion. Sometimes the sound of a flute or dancing for the audience may be tolerated.

fun de diwan oui on respect le diwan au Maroc , mais ce que tu vois et ecoutes mon chers cousin algerien , et du pur Gnawa du roots , le son original se trouve au Maroc comme la tradition la voulu , mais les significations des ``` trou7a`` track et plus significatives , bref faux venir a Saouira
