The Black Islamic influenced movements in America are kind of like other syncretic movements that formed out of a people's early interaction with Islam which retained a lot of elements of their traditional folk practices and were not so in line with orthodoxy. For example Alevism in the Turkic world.

Why would it be the same teachings? Different environments and circumstances.

I don’t know why people are so in a tizzy over what Mustafa Briggs said. What he said is that the Islam they practice is not the same as the Islam practiced by their ancestors, due to a lack of knowledge and resources and connection. Simple. He did not proclaim to know all the details about any of the groups nor ignorance about them because it’s not necessary. It’s clear to see as the sun there is the faintest of similarity between the Groups and real Islam.

I rock with this show and will continue to do so, but this information is not factual. If you want to know about the 5 percent then you have to go to the 5 percent. Unless this brother has actually been NOI or NGE ( and has a full understanding)he is not qualified to speak on it.

the 5% can't completely set itself apart from the NOI because "the lessons" is the Supreme Wisdom from the NOI, in fact the term 5% comes from the Supreme Wisdom. Clarence 13X got his foundation from the NOI.

@@muskegontribune That’s correct the Original Mathematics are the Sipreme Wisdom. Allah changed them to Knowledge Wisdom and Understanding. It was reverse as Wisdom Knowledge and Understanding. I don’t know how to explain it any other way. If you listen to Brand Nubian’s song “Wake Up” Grand Puba mentioned a little about it. He says There put our wisdom before us That makes it wisdom knowledge But we need knowledge wisdom To bring forth the understanding.

He took some lessons and applied a different interpretation. He read the Black Man is the"God of the Universe" literally, so he saw no need to pray to himself, unlike the NOI who practice religious rituals.

In the knowledge equally degree there’s an answer all the way to the bottom says otherwise known as civilize people Also Muslims and Muslims sons.For 30yrs no Muslim manifested that power. At least none of them said they were 5%ers. And when the 5%ers getting the teachings from Allah that he manifested to the 5%ers(First Born) that they are the 5%ers the Muslims wanted to fight the Gods if not kill’em. Assassin even a hit was made on the Father’s life for leaving the Masjid for saying he was Allah and teaching the 5%ers. The Muslims totally rejected them at their beginning. But yet in that degree civilize people also Muslim and Muslim Sons. So the Muslims too was included in that lesson,they were all civilize people. Before the Father went home,he said that they will not be no longer the 5%ers,so they relinquish the title of 5%ers but they still made association with it because they were Allah and his 5%ers from 1964-1969 and when the Father said when he go home that they will be known as the Nation of Gods and Earths. After the Father got assassinated that’s when the 5%ers started saying they were the Nation of Gods & Earths no longer 5%ers. But they knew that the 5%ers still exist cause it was Muslims and Muslims sons. Now in this day and time you have the Allah Team from Atlanta saying they are the 5%ers. Rightly so they have no dispute about that. But they get oxymoronic when they say they are Muslim Gods and they could be the 5%ers but it’s no problem with that but the oxymoron of being a Muslim God,that is a real problem. Nobody wanted to be no Gods until the Babies manifest it. Remind you them lessons been in the Masjid since July 04,1930 here in the wilderness of North America and the Hon Elijah Muhammad answer those questions February 20,1934. They was taught by a brotha that Allah taught in Matteawan that call himself the second coming of Allah “Robert Walker.” What he did is that he gave birth outside of the 5% Nation and these brothas were calling themselves First Born Muslims and the Gods were the 5% Nation. A lot them had knowledge of self and a lot of them come outta the Masjid and a lot them were taught by Robert Walker. They called him El Champagne that was his 85% name. Robert Walker they uce to call him Wisdom Body too,he uce to come around and say he was Allah in the Wisdom Body. A brotha wanted to do something to him,even Allah told them not to do nothing to him cause in time we gorn to show and prove and eventually that did happen.

That's false. The Prophet Drew Ali states in our Holy Koran (in part) : "While we the Moorish Americans are returning to ISLAM for our earthly and divine salvation" (Chapter entitled "The End of Time and the fulfilling of the Prophecies; which is the last chapter). We are "Moslems", but that is just an English variation of "Muslim" (although "Moslem" is older). He also stated that our religion is "Islamism", which is the practice of "Peace" or "Islam". I'm not sure where you got your thought from. Can you site where you got that from? As a member of his temple...that thought isn't found anywhere in our literature. Peace
