Don't forget that he boosted his Channel on toxic fans. I will never forget all these spitting fans at Arsene Wenger in the AFTV videos. Robbie did nothing to stop it. He was nodding head or just smiling while interviewing fans full of hate to the greatest Arsenal manager. That's why I will never subscribe to this (so called) Arsenal Fans tv channel.

I have a lot of respect for mr Dein but I don’t think that’s a fair statement. Club finances where tight in that period because of the stadium as he explained. The club basically had to sit trough that period (in which the big money Chelsea and city and others came rising).

Definitely. He was very key to most of our successes. He was so involved that players loved him. He knew what was about the happen and how Arsenal would struggle to keep up.

David Dein is the definition of Entrepreneur with heart and brains. This man deserves a statue for his foresight and love of the club.

I m a Spurs fan and I am going to buy this book. Football is a game that brings people together and I have much respect for a gentleman such as David Dean.

Wigan fan here. What an iconic person David Dein is. A fantastic watch, thoroughly enjoyed that. What a disgrace it is that the book isn’t available in the Arsenal club shop. How he and Arsene are not club ambassadors as well is just mystifying! A true pioneer of English football, a book I very much look forward to reading.

Would need to know what's said in the book about Kroenke, maybe it's not too complimentary? But one thing's for sure, if that was near the tills in the Arsenal outlets they would sell hundreds on every home match day. Anyway, thanks for this Robbie, brilliant stuff, and of course, thank you for everything David.

I have massive respect for this man and what he has done for Arsenal and British football. David Dein leaving Arsenal was the start of the harder years and Arsene Wenger did a lot to minimise the impact but he had lost his greatest ally. I remember being very sad when it happened. Thank you David for everything you have done for our beloved club.

Our struggles started after Mr Dein left. What a legend!

I've always rated David dein but to know he family used to sell Caribbean and African food in west London back in the early Windrush day's my respect for him goes up even more because my grandparents most likely used to buy from there. What a interview definitely going to buy the book

100% the best video this channel has ever put out. I do remember a few other classics but there's only been just a handful. Classic is a strong word. A classic is something historic; a success that lives long in the memory. Regarding the Book, I agree. A TOTAL disgrace and dishonour not to have Mr Dein's book in the shop. This is why I've never seen or referred to The Armoury as 'The Arsenal Shop'. It's merely just a club shop to me.

David Dein is a proper Legend! What people forgot is he saw the future in English football especially Chelsea having a sugar daddy and the rest is history. He tried for arsenal to match the big boys but the didn’t buy to his idea. In fact when he left arsenal fell apart like cookies getting crumbled. As just about everyone has already said - David is an Arsenal legend. Well done getting him on AFTV, and I have also just bought an audio copy of the book!

Given how long David Dein has been away from Arsenal F.C., it is amazing how relevant he remains. What a fantastic coup for Robbie and all of AFTV! That was a brilliant interview! It was so informative and entertaining. What a soothing voice Mr Dein has! Not sure that I could listen to the audio book; his dulcet tones would send me to the land of nod, in a nice way!

I had the honor of meeting Dein in the front entrance lobby at Highbury in July of 2004, just after they’d gone Invincible . He came down those stairs and shook my hand and politely asked “are you here for a tour?” Sadly, the tour tickets had already sold out for the day but he made me feel so welcome. I’m an American btw…. Forever ARSENAL!!! ❤

Loved this interview so much, I'm gonna buy the audio book now. I love listening to this guy whenever he is speaking. I was also lucky enough to get a signed message from him when he was attending HMP Elmley. My mother worked there (she's retired now) and when she met him she mentioned I'm a die hard Arsenal fan, he then signed a photo of me on my mums desk with a personal message to me. My mum told me he was a lovely man and was happy to give her his time.

Massive respect for David Dein. Very humble guy too. Arsenal fans will always remember & appreciate the job this man put in!! As for the Don, you always take AFTV to new levels!!! Been here since the beginning. Crazy what you have achieved since! All the best
