Hey, How would converting from INR -> USD -> VND would be economical? In this process we will end up paying more money in the currency exchange fees and other charges right? I would like to understand this, is it good to use your debit card and withdraw money from ATM or carrying cash entirely?

Fair question! Well the thing is you CAN use your Indian atm card there (considering your bank allows it) but with every transaction you'll have to give atm transaction charges to vietnam bank once and then to your local Indian Bank and plus on top of that you'll have to pay a foreign exchange markup fee of 3.5% of the entire transaction. Please note all these will be levied on every transaction, hence better you carry cash with you. you can watch my vietnam vlogs to know where exactly I exchanged, but one advice would be don't do it in airports as they charge more. Do it in jewellery shops in the city, you will get more value.

Hey, which is cheaper converting from Inr to Vietnamese dong in India itself or converting Inr to dollar in India and dollar to dong in Vietnam?

@@TattooedWanderer but the exchange rate we are getting from Inr to vnd is 0.00440 as opposed to current 0.0034 which is not a good exchange rate and I've found that at gold shops in ho chi min we get good exchange rate almost same as in Google for the dollars.

@@user-ct8fo2qp9l yes correct I also exchanged from local gold shops, they gave amazing exchange rates. pleas note- most important tip- always take bigger denominations of USD for better exchange rate. for eg, exchange rate on 100 dollar will always be higher than 10 dollar. remember that

Didn’t know they charge 18% gst on currency exchange i didn’t got that charge in Gujarat or even in Bombay

no you won’t find that there. you will find indian atms in vietnam but they will charge you extra

bro that video was made almost a year ago, chuna nahi kehta use. rates change hota rehta hain almost on an everday basis.

If a year ago then I think you have been scammed more, rates a year ago was much less then today's rate, and if you've purchased dollars in 84. Something then you play the logic here
