George Washington Duke and family were so poor in the early years and worked hard to eek out a living. Their endeavors enabled them to build successful companies and gave generously to the Christian Church in thanksgiving, and to communities where they lived. I wonder what they would think of Doris Duke’s life?

Thank you for sharing your story with us. I’m sure Doris’s forefathers would be proud of her. She has brought culture and knowledge to the state of Hawaii but also the rest of the world. She left behind a legacy and peaceful collaboration from two or maybe three different cultures.
