What us amazing ? Everything taste sweet and spicy . .. its the one of the worse cuisine in the world.. in Asian cuisine.. Try Vietnamese, Thailand, indo/south east asia, japanese, chinese, or Indian food, you'll be more surprised by them... its just popular because of kpop and drama

Spicy rice cake in chilli sauce is called teokbokki

Fishcake is called Eomuk in Korea. Odeng is one of Japanese words.

Which is the same Japanese oden but a different name slapped to it. Doesn't make it different, also mandoo is just a giant dimsum that's drier in the inside either so technically atleast half of what's claimed to be in the video are actually Chinese or Japanese.

Ramen are Chinese in origin but Japan is deemed as the ‘ramen master’. No one in China claims ramen to be theirs. Similarly, the Japanese barbecue yakiniku was brought in during the Imjin war between Japan and Korea by pows, yet it is acknowledged as Japanese cuisine. People experiment with food and make variations all the time. It’s not a single country’s culture indefinitely if other cultures enjoy it too.

@@Velaguna0 yes absolutely! I wholeheartedly agree, but in terms of actual facts it'll be incorrect to refer to them as Koreanfood or native Korean cuisine. Like look at America for example, their "culture" consists of so many foreign stuff conjoining with another within their country, but it won't mean pizza, sushi, ramen, etc are are US-origin. So it's important to be aware there is a distinction between these two.

That's it in the first place. Odeng itself is a food that was brought over from Japan during the Japanese colonial period, and it's just called fish cake in Korean. So Koreans use the two words interchangeably.

You should go to convenience stores and get 라면(ramen)!!! It’s so awesome and I get to go back to Korea again this summer!

I think that's all fairly graded because I've tasted all those things and I agree😅 Next time you try odeng, ask for spicy mustard. It's simple, but just makes it taste so much better, especially the hard boiled eggs and the broth!

tteokbokki only gets 6/10, so sad! I love the chewy texture
