yup, but also the nicest pictures from this session!
Yo, This the dude you met on 34th st while you were filming on Friday. I told you you’re the reason I’m getting into medium format. I just thought it was cool how this was your next video which actually helps a lot. Thanks again & hopefully see you around again soon
The photo of the flowers and the flag is my favorite. It reminds me of William Eggleston work

I’m waiting for my RZ67 Pro ii to arrive and I was thinking the same thing
6:42 Those pinks are amazing.
It's a good day when a new Willem Verb video drops
You and 3 other youtubers are the reason I bought 4 film cameras within the last 2 months, I was so focused on saving for a expensive digital camera that I forgot about film photography! So thank you for taking the time and creating content, also for showing up in my recommendations haha
The production and the quality of this video is amazing. I love how your channel is growing and helping all of us still trying to figure film out
I looove the shots taken inside the cafes. The play in light and shadow -- LOVE!! The colors from the Lomo 400 are sooo beautiful!!
Love how quirky your videos are getting. They're super fun and natural looking. Your face dropping the film was such a mood.
The Lomo film surprised me, and I like the softer shadows of the Fuji. I'm still sold on Portra, but this was a good comparison ... and great photos! I especially like the bicycle shot near the end.
so obsessed w/ your channel and your photography right now, you're such an inspiration
amazing video!!! i‘ve been obsessed with your videos and work since i‘ve found you. you got me into film photography actually :))) xx
"You don't have to lick the film" 😭 KODAK PLEASE LISTEN
found your videos about a week ago, love your videos,so aesthetically pleasing and content is just top notch,as a beginner this just really inspires me and encourages me to do film, thank you!
THESE ARE ALL SO BEAUTIFUL AAAA
I just started shooting medium format myself and I'm still in love with the Portra 400, but I may just try the lomo now!! Great job Willem, keep it up!
i just picked up my first film camera yesterday (besides disposables) and i am beyond excited :,)

Wow. Lomography blew my mind. I never shot it either. Tbh I did not even have it on my radar. Definitely need to try it out. Love it. I just made the first steps with the 400h myself and I love it. Thanks for the comparison video! Great work Willem.
So awesome. Loved this episode. Gotta say that Lomography 400 looks amazing.
awww man i was waiting for an in-depth comparison of the different films with side by side examples.
2:42 that frame of the man with his bike, the bird on the floor and the van passing would’ve made a great shot imo 😫
Just subbed yesterday. Now this is the quality content i signed up for 👌
"I feel like there has to be a shot here" *shoots a photo* "well I don't know if that was the right one but..." Very relatable.
love the shot @ 3.04min! BTW I like and shoot both the Kodak and the Fuji
Great video for comparisons! I really like the look of Lomography but like you said, they are all different! the last roll, that expired NPH is amazing too!
Those expired films were still so good. I shot (probably) expired 35mm film recently and they all have a heavy filter over them, either magenta, cyan or red. I also would love to pick up a medium format camera some time because they seem so cool (but I don't have the money lol)
Wow great shots Willem! Keep up the awesome videos 🤙🏻🇬🇧🇺🇸
I love that shutter sound.
That Lomo 400 was a surprise. It had a nice punch without over doing it. I think all three had such a distinct look that I could see keeping all three loaded at a time.
love your video's, i like the fuji the most. The colour is in my opinion the nicest!
All the colors just make me so happy UGH LOVE IT
LOVE the new intro you made ❤️
Dude this video was sooo interesting and fun! Those Lomo images were actually super crispy and nice but Portra 400 4 lyfe (preferably pushed)!
Wish you had 3 backs and shot each photo 3 times to see perfectly each characteristics of each film
Your videos are satisfying to watch... I get so calm watching them ahahah
Loving the colours on all of the film stocks, nice comparison and great video
Your color grading is so lovely! ♥
My perspective on the Fujifilm is great for green color and dark skin. I still love my RB67. Nice job 👍
I shot quite a bit of lomo 100 for my first rolls as it was a cheap film. Really loved the way it bought out reds and greens, might be a bit much for some people. But I love it
Great way to start my Sunday Morning!
Portra 800 has been my go-to lately. Nice video!
Well done! I really have enjoyed seeing the different shots with the film. I like shooting Portra 400 and metering for 200. I got some Ilford 50 in which I’m excited to try out, and have a roll of Cinestill 50 to use as well. I have a roll of Kodak film from 1976 thats ASA32 haha which should be interesting to shoot with.
I love the way this video is graded! Tutorial please haha
FInally good pieces of music on your video! Well done.
Such a great video 💯 Really cool to see the comparison between the stocks 👌🏻 can really see the difference. Also, do you ever shoot black and white on medium format? If so what are your thoughts?
Hey! im the guy who awkwardly waved at you like 50 times at Central Park on sunday. Too shy to say hello, anyway love your photography and your videos, really inspired by them. Keep it up
Thank you Willem! I now know the difference between portra and Fuji
hell yes another video!!
can you do a video on your college application portfolio? love your work dude
ahh the shots of the white car are so good!
2:41 that HAS to be the same intersection from one of the cut scenes in friends!!
6:42 the photo with the flag is fireeeeeee
FINALLY A NEW VIDEOOO
Such a lovely frame at 6:42!
i could see you doing a whole project "shooting through windows" i know that sounds creepy but the light in those restaurants looked so good!! sick shots.

The restaurant shots were my favorites. Very moody. Next the flag in the window and the pharmacy. Lots of real good images in that outing.
wow, now i wanna try lomography💛
Love it! I like the lomo colors
I'd love a video just on how you meter. One thing that has always confused me is seeing a small handheld light meter like that used. but the light where you are standing might be radically different than the area where you are pointing your camera 10-15-30-50 feet away. Other than using a much more expensive spot meter, do you tend to use a light meter app (I do)? Do you always meter for the shadows? If not, what is the decision making when metering? Would love to see such a video from you.
Can’t wait for more 💪
I like Portra 400 a lot for portraits in clear daylight.
Nice video... and nice camera. As far as I'm concerned, 400H is more like 100H, I shoot Portra (whatever type of Portra it is) 1 stop over metered for the shadows, and Lomo 400 in low light (for some funky results) but it definitely has a look to its own when you go outside the box. Where'd you go Red Hook? Cobble Hill?
would like to see one of these with lower speed ones, so like ektar, portra 160, provia and/or pro 160ns
i loved the flow of this video. do you just walk around with your dark slide out?? i always end up losing mine lol
You’re so sweet! Thank you!
That Fuji NPH looks great
me and my friends shot at the exact same location @ 7:20 and the the lady that lived in the building came down and yelled at us even though we were just standing on the sidewalk lmao but its beautiful in the summer, when we did it it was winter completely different vibe. I love that image and the flowers with the flag, and those restaurant shots
Coming in a year later.... the Fuji does it for me. Seems to reflect true coloring... the Porta is just too soft and de-saturated, the Lomography is great if you're going for Instagram or Facebook pix and to punch things up to the max, but for personal satisfaction, give me the Fuji... it seems to give a real world look that I want. Glad I found this video so I know what to buy that will make me happy. Thanks for sharing Mr V!
nice magnus ronning hoodie i love the crossovers on youtube
Love 400h for latitude and shadow details.
Loved the video and especially the power plant pictures :) I have a question: If I want to get into film photography, should I only take film photos from now on or did you use your digital camera in between? This summer I've been going on a lot of trips but I always have to take both cause I'm scared the film photos will turn out awful. Is it better to fully step out of the comfort zone or is it good to learn the settings and exposure with a digital camera at the same time?
Ive tried Fuji Pro 400NPH before Willem, I like the results.
With multiple film backs, I was hoping for some tripod shots of the same subject, only swiping film backs. Then we'd get an A, B, C comparison with the exact same settings, subject.

That is exactly what I would have liked to have seen. Real world, measurable results.
I love that area it’s so quiet in the evenings
Damn i wanna try the lomography 400 now
what a badass for filming that sign
Was this video graded differently? Just something I noticed.

thought the same too, it looked different but great.
This was great
can't wait for the jersey project video
Great work man. What camera bag is that?
Fujifilm is often undeservingly overshadowed by Kodak's Portra. There was so many excellent films from Fuji. Glad you tried the NPH. Favourite shot was the red truck.
Is the somewhere we can go to download your photos? I really love the ones in bbn this video
I like your videos a lot! Could you tell me what kind of lens are you using in this video?
In terms of focal lenght, Would the lens you are using be equivalent to a 35mm in APS-C format? Thanks
I would love to see you take on some medium format slide film! I feel like you could do some serious damage with a roll of Provia 😎
the video quality looked great bro
wow man might switch to 400h idk
hey that spot in vinegar hill is right around the corner from my friends apartment lol
I love how I could immediately date this film by the fact there’s a Revel bike behind you
Also, try Vision3 5207, its absolutely beast.
Can you please advice good lightmeter app for iphone? ❤️
to compare film stocks. i would suggest having multiple film backs and shoot the same comp on every film stocks.
the expired Fuji had really interesting tones. it'S always a gamble though ;)
Eres el mejor, saludos desde Argentina
Was feeling pretty darn uncomfortable until your theme tune dropped at 4:05 p.s. I LOVE your content.
Just discovered your channel last evening and I am hooked. I am curious about your super small light meter you're using. What brand/model is it? Thanks
Those shots into the buildings through the windows were so good. Out of curiosity, what did you meter for there? You're far enough away that you wouldn't be able to meter specifically the highlights or shadows(I think) so did you just average the scene and then go a bit under to preserve highlights?
very awesome man
Could you do a video on rangefiders at some point, just bought one and feel you could offer some great advice:)
