I absolutely love your videos, and you literally saved my life! No, this is not a joke. I’m a mosaic artist by trade, and once we as artists find our genres, we rarely deter from it. I recently experienced a traumatic accident and was hospitalized for two and a half months. Laying in bed suffering and waiting to see if I’d live or die wasn’t working for me. But; of course I couldn’t be cutting and plastering glass/stone in a hospital room, nor did I have the physical strength. But I found you. I had my son pick up supplies from my studio, buy me some canvases from the art supply store, and put every few productive moment I had into escaping in my new art lessons. My recovery increased, my need for narcotics to manage pain dropped, and I started rapidly recovering. When I left the hospital, a Nurse who had worked there 20 years told me that she would have bet money that I would have never walked out of there alive and independent! I’m back to my beloved mosaics; but, I still have a new creative genre to dabble in thanks to you! ❤️🇨🇦

The nurse who told you that, hasn't seen anyone so far doing arts and crafts in the hospital while you were fighting for your life. It's a crime that hospitals don't care at all about the patients but they just give them medication and whoever lives or dies. You should tell her she knows nothing yet despite her 20 years of work experience. Creating art inspired you and you didn't think of your condition anymore. You were in a flowing state!! We need art in our lives and creating instead of living in fear in general.

I would never have thought such muted colours could look so beautiful. The gold leaf is so perfectly understated but it really makes the whole thing special. (Not that it wouldn't have been perfectly gorgeous without it of course 😊)

I totally agree with you, lechatbotte. ❤ Soft colors can make a painting seam alive with beauty and fun. I love using them myself and adding them to many other items. I actually need to find some gold leaf because I'm out.
