At 9 minutes the song is called "Call of Silence"..its most famous use is when Ymir (from the Scouts) is in the paths. its played in Season 2 when her whole backstory is explained.

its really crazy how just one anime can bring about so much. the music, the fandom, the art. it's genuinely beautiful.

The Rumbling full version MV by the Sim : the lyrics write based on eren perspective, after watching the S4 and listening to the lyrics you just can feel the pain eren feel! 3. Under the tree full length anme version by the Sim. This is the ending song of Special eps 1, but watching it after AOT end with the lyrics on is so heart touching experience, it is like Mikasa, Armin and Eren conversation in all one song. All the lyrics of AOT music was amazing, it really telling the story!

Grissini Project plays from Sweden far as I know. They are like half Swedish and half French. Making it more impressive that they are singing in 3 languages they're not even native in: Japanese, German and English!

Fun fact: the unison page slip sound is to represent the sound that all the squad does when they put the hand to the heart (when the hand beats hard on your chest). And yeah let’s rewatch it in English. Since I always watch subbed it would be interesting. And the second watch for AOT is still a very different experience too. Because you’ll notice all the hints on speech and act, etc.

9:24 It's Call of SIlence, which is the music playing in Ymir's Back Story when she became human again and was given a 2nd chance in life. I'll never forget her line: "If this was a turn of fate, I can only laugh at how fickle fate was"

Lyrics are definitely foreshadowing the show, which is on brand for aot, and lots ofl OSTs are in german, and even character names of eldians are german as well. It's obvious to see what they were hinting even before the story started

One great thing to me about anime and video games is that it's given younger generations an appreciation of "classical" music. When I was a kid in the 90's classical music was boring and old, but with game soundtracks (i.e Zelda and others of course) and with anime, I've noticed more and more younger people really appreciate the orchestration of their favorite game/anime soundtracks.

it's sad knowing how Eren and Mikasa parted. Cause it's obvious (looking at the lyrics) That call of silence 8:20 is Mikasa's feelings to eren

Actually call of silence is a song between Ymir and Historia, and another one is zero eclipse (played when Historia refused to inject titan spinal fluid). But since the song is basically a love song, so putting it into Mikasa and Eren situation is still make sense I guess.

@@user-fz7ik4se4b I do think it's also speaks a bit of Ymir and Historia (since I believe it played in a scene including one of the two) but the lyrics I feel fit more of Eren and Mikasa more. Let's just say it's a song for both of the ships, since I feel like the lyrics can make sense either ways lol.

Actually, the lyrics are originally written in German. The singers in Project EMU were singing in German too.

I watched it in dubbed first. Nothing will hit as hard as the Japanese sub. The rewatch of this show is even better the second time because you can appreciate the true mastery of the story writing from EP1. I remember this video came out a few days before the final part and I was crying in my car on the way to work. 😂

Oh yeah, you should react to the hole song of AOT openings and endings! Like Linked Horizon(The artist who did the openings for S1, S2 and S3 second openings and so on...) You can feel how much hype that man has devoted to AOT. You can find his channel on youtube and listen to the hole songs. And defiantly, you must not forget about the ending song for S4 part2, "akuma no ko".(It means "devil's child" in Japanese) This song, I want you to look at the translations of the lyrics too. The Japanese singers were singing it in German, but if you ask a German speaker, they'll say it's "correct" but has a Japanese accent feel to it. Man... Every time I listen to AoT music, I have to put on a tough face because I'm TOTALLY feelin it and all I wanna do is 😭😭😭😭😭😭 Grissini Project has some great covers. I’d recommend you rewatch the show in sub on your own (or of course you can post your re-reactions, I would definitely watch) and then maybe react to snippets or specific scenes in dub cuz imo the official subtitles carry a lot of the emotion of aot and it can really affect the rewatch value. + yes aot in 9 minutes is a must watch!
