I bought my skull & co grip bundled with a case and I'm loving everything about it. I have no issues playing for hours in handheld mode and I could just place it in the dock without disassembly in case of low battery. The case is spacious enough to fit the switch with the largest grip though it probably is 2x or more the thickness of tomtoc case.

Never seen a tomtoc add or sponsored video before but i do personally have a few tomtoc bags and items. They are Definitely the best bang for your buck out there and have great clean design.

Some great recommendations, I bought the grip and I’m loving it. The trigger grips are sooo comfy. Now to find a case that works with the trigger grips fitted.

In terms of the hori splitpad, NYXI or BINBOK sell much better splitpads that feel better, have gyro and rumble, and are even wireless so you could use em on a grip to turn it into a pro controller. I fit them in the tomtoc larger case and they also have the SL and SR buttons if you need to play multiplayer.

I have the nyxi Hyperion pro, and put it (on the switch) in the tomtoc case that's made for the steam deck, and it works great.

I love my switch OLED and have lots of fun playing games in it

I LOVE my tomtoc pro controller case! It’s so slim and sleek

I can vouch for the TomToc. I got a pink to blue gradient one, so I could cram it in my camera bag. It’s great 👍🏻

I just bought a sleeve bc my case was too bulky… I don’t travel much, but if I need another case I’ll keep the one you recommended… I don’t buy the bags designed for “switch” because they say “hey there’s a switch in here” BUT since getting a switch I have bought bigger bags to hold my switch… if I ever take it anywhere. I do take my iPad places lol

I recommend the Nyxi Hyperion it made handheld experience so much better and on the bridge it’s the size of the pro controller

I have the Satisfye ZenGrip Pro, and I do kind of wish that I had gone for what you got or similar, but it works great and I am not complaining. On the controller side I use my 2 Xbox 1 controllers and they work great and have vibration. For my portable hub I have a UGREEN 4k 60Hz adaptor that I got for my Steam Deck, and an 8BitDo 2 to connect one of my x box controllers. If I need to connect both of them for some 3 person co play I do it via cable.

(Retroflag Handheld Controller) for the switch is my favourite Joycon alternative, followed by (Hori Split Pad Pro)

Big fan of skull & co!! Would also like to know how you processed your voice. Sounds crazy good.

I got the Dobe Controller Grip (it makes it easier to use the joy cons as a 2-player controler)

Skull & Co make nice slim case to fit with the smallest grip

I chosen the black one with the red strap and the multi coloured tomtoc logo😊

Agreed on the part of the satisfye. It seems only available in the US. Shipping to outside the US is very pricey. Another issue i experienced in the OG satisfye is since the back grip parts are those soft silicone material, after awhile it gets sticky and 5he the material seems to disintegrate.

Does the switch with the Skull&Co frame and biggest grips fit in the Sling Bag?

hey Mike, want to hear your thoughts on Sony MDR-1AM2, i use it daily with my pc, are they going to be enough for the switch?

I have skull n co grip and I want a thinner case, is it safe to use the tomtoc with the small grip? I don’t want to damage the bumpers or the joysticks

i bought the neo grip and it says dockable on the box, but when you dock it, the sides of the dock touches the screen and grip aswell as expands a bit. is this same for you?

Prob should have mentioned the blue tooth adapter prior to the Bluetooth headphones… I personally play on the TV more than handheld. If I am playing handhold I am prob multitasking by listening to something else.

I can attest the 8bitdo ultimate controller, in my opinion, is the best traditional controller I've ever used! highly recommend!

I don't know if your joy cons are getting damaged in the tomtoc case or not. But skull and co do a slim case of there own designed especially for those smaller grips . Might be worth adding to your basket if you shop with them again . I certainly would recommend it and the joy grip also for docked play

Have you tried looking into the fixture S2 grip that connects switch tablet with the pro controller? It's like a holder mount. I miss using the skull n go grip but my left joycon's stick have worn out and makes a very uncomfortable sound when I use it lol

@@mike.barnes My personal experience I liked using it when I was sitting at the table and sitting straight up on the couch. Laying down i set it on my stomach due to some weight but still playable. My joycon started drifting so I set aside the skull n co grip for a while but it was neat playing with a pro controller in handheld mode.

Hey, I wonder if one could cut the grip so that it can still be used when the joy-cons are detached. Would it hold nicely to the joycons?

(maybe this can be assessed by separating the piece using the screws)? If not, how often do you remove the grip? If not very often, perhaps an alternative would be to use some double-edged tape to fixate the parts after cutting?

It’s got a super low latency mode which means almost 0 delay

I will try and find out when I’m home for certain, but as Will’s kindly said…it does work as a Bluetooth controller with pc so I don’t see why it wouldn’t work with steam deck?

Will depend on if a switch successor has backwards compatibility with switch cartridges. All Nintendo's previous handhelds played the previous consoles cartridges, but the switch doesn't let you play 3DS cartridges. At the end of the 3DS's life cycle they started to discount them so maybe they do the same with the Switch and you can pick it up cheaper then if you want to experience the switch's game library.

So is the samsung sd card good enough for the switch?
