There's also "Citizens of Tamriel" that makes the game feel like an old school rpg. Ugh what are those equipment mods you have on your back and is it just for PC? Also I can find "Animated Magic Runes" on Xbox, (does it use skyse?) we don't get much variety mods for console's 😩

Hey, On your modlist website you say that for purely graphical modding, it's better to go for LE than SE, is that true still today, or has SE been able to catch up in terms of graphics mods?

Yes, it's still true today.

I am 57 years old and just started playing Skyrim. It's my first game to play ever (except for D&D, back in the late 80's). Thanks for a nice resource for learning more about the game. 👍👍

Bout to download and update a bunch of mods and start a new playthrough, 11 years later still going strong

Thunderchild is another mod that all my play throughs have, really overhauls the shouting and adds new shouts and features to High Hrothgar, tbf EnaiSiaion mods just feel like vanilla now they’re all brilliant

It's truly a phenomenal mod, no doubts! I've not added it here because it makes shouts at your disposition mostly really overpowered. It can be balanced by other difficulty mods ofc, but as it's a list of mods which will be great for anyone no matter the preference, including the vision of difficulty, Dragonborn Ascendant fits better here as it's mostly "vanilla+" type of mod in this matter.

Really awesome video man, great overview and great gameplay footage and editing.

With all of the games coming out, this dude just keeps going back to Skyrim. Definitely the hero we need. 🙇‍♂️

This actually helped me a lot, thank you so much for putting the time into making this and saving me so much of it.

I'm only close to finishing my first playthrough with around 200 hours in it. I can't wait to try some mods a few weeks after I'm completely finished.

And this is the reason why Skyrim is also a GOAT. Thanks to all of those Modders, KZreadrs and players who never stops doing this things. It's been a decade and still Skyrim never ceases to amaze me. Reason I love this game so much. There's tons of things to do on your free time. It always evolve. The nostalgia and the feeling of it being realistic now. Is more fun. It's majestic. I'm overwhelmed and having a mix of emotion right now 😌🖤✨

Just getting back in starting from scratch. I last played long before covid with some mods on console. But probably didn’t even get 50% through the game. Excited to watch and see how play can be improved

I am brand new to PC gaming, so new that I have not yet played my first PC game. I have been a console gamer for 40 years going back to the Atari and every console since but recently decided to build my first PC with my son. Skyrim and the other elder scrolls games were among my favorites on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Skyrim will be my first PC game and I have no idea how mods work at all. And watching all of these modding videos with so many opinions and variations is overwhelming. I like this video because of the types of mods you showcase. Now, I just have to learn how to apply the mods.

Hey man, great video! Can't wait to try every mod you recommended. However as a side question for when you see this. If you remember or still use it; what is the UI That you currently use that displays enemy healthbars above their heads? Cause it seems super clean and I cannot personally find it.

Thanks for another great video and recommendations. Up till now I had been using only Apocalypse for my sorcerer runs. I think it's time to try new spell mods. :)

Something to note, combining Imperious Races and Andromeda allows your standing stone to grant 2 abilities if you choose a breton.

@@peace2343 animation replacers require 3rd party software which require skse to work im 90% sure. You probably won’t likely be able to get animation replacers on Xbox

I’m trying to find them all on the base mod thing in the game, but unfortunately a lot of them like “dynamic animation replacer” and the like aren’t to be found. Do I need to get these externally or something?

Serana dialogue add-on is a good mod. Also try the serana reimagined mod. It goes well with the aforementioned mod.

Mods is the best thing I ever did for my gaming. I played vanilla skyrim except the last dlc. But now I can go back play it all over again with new creatures weapons harder difficulty. Moddin remade games for me. I reccomend all gamers build a gaming pc.

I would but I don't have the space and I'm too lazy to build one.

My problem with all those magic mods is that they don't really apply to the NPCs. You don't get to see any powerful mage's your battling using the same spells against you, which kind of breaks the immersion for me. It's like only your character can do half the magic in Tamriel for some reason.

ASIS exists for this sole reason since 2012 :P It allows to distribute mod-added perks and spells to NPCs. You'll find it in my modding guide together with the installation and tweaking instructions, and even my own ini files for it.

Glamoril is a quest mod that adds magic, weapons a dungeon and a few accessories like a stave and a book.

What mod gives that cool healthbar at the bottom when you fought the dragon and the mod that made your spells look like the doctor strange thing, that was super cool.
