Winch and bar with recovery points, recovery hitch for the towbar. AT tyres too.

Should have kept the 80 series too I reckon. They're a very capable rig also :-). A winch would be a good option as well if you keep on four wheel driving

Have you driven Brisbane Ranges national Park? It’s considerably, smaller than Wombat / Lerderderg but very nice nonetheless great camping , hiking and off road tracks too !

The Brisbane Ranges was one of our first videos. We probably didn't do it justice, but are still new to all this and learning so hopefully go back and improve on the video

Yes, you will be able to get to camp grounds, the Lerderderg river, where it is a great little picnic place, plus a lot of other amazing view, mines and walking trails. I would probably recommend to keep to the gravel roads and stay off any 4WD tracks with an Xtrail, as a lot of the tracks will pass a point of no return where it looks good at the beginning, however by the time you realise the type of challenges the track has, you may not be able to turn back any more and you might struggle to get through them. There are a few great maps, free online that should help plan your trip. Let us know if you end up going!! Have fun! :)
